In the Territory

Raccoonheart was chilling in the territory. She looked around the territory looking for anything that made a movement. She froze when she saw a rabbit coming out of it's hole. She slowly got off the rock she was siting on to blend in with the back ground so the rabbit wouldn't notice her. She waited for a few moments then ran after the rabbit. The rabbit froze then ran from her, giving her a good run before going back into it's hole. Raccoonheart saw this and stopped, and started laughing. "That was the best run I have had all day!"

"That looked like it," a voice purred as Stormstar came padding up. His tail flickered sightly as he blinked, his yellow eyes warm as he gazed at his deputy. Having finally given up on his brother returning, the leader had been getting his sleep back, which was doing wonders for the tom. Now that he wasn't tired all the time, he figured he could start worrying about his Clanmates that were with him, spend time with them, and most of all, with his deputy. Pushing the sad thoughts of his brother most likely dead, he gazed at the rabbit hole. "Only if you had caught it. It's getting cold out, soon Leaf-bare will be here. We are going to need all the prey we can get."

"Yeah, it would have been helpful, but we have some time before leaf-bare sets in. By then we should have plenty of prey." Raccoonheart mewed as she padded up to her leader. "You are finely starting to look well again." She commented.

Nodding, Stormstar glanced over the territory with a sigh. "I've stopped waiting every night awake to see if Wildheart would come back..." Shaking his head, he glanced sideways at his deputy. "So, how are you?" he meowed quickly, trying to get off of the subject of his brother.

"I am fine. Just doing my job as deputy. It can be stressing at times but I am used to it now." She purred. "It getting better now that I know your sleeping."

Chuckling, the tom shook his head. "Well, let's hope it stays that way." His eyes flicked to the light, cloudless sky. "Wonderful day, is it not?"

"It's a nice day for anything. Hopefully there will be more to come. We will need it." She mewed looking up at the sky as well.


ooc: Awkward conversation go!

Stormstar shifted from paw to paw. Every time he attempted to speak, he would stop in fear of perhaps saying something foolish. His heart drummed in his chest as he muttered softly to himself. He was acting like a small apprentice who had just fallen in love, but truth be told, he was in love. Wrapping his long tail around his paws as he sat down, his mind raced to come up with something that wouldn't make him sound like an idiot, but of course his head came up with no good words to say what he had been telling his heart for moons upon moons.

Raccoonheart brought her eyes from the sky back down to Stormstar. She tilted her head to the side. "Are you okay Stormstar?" She asked seeing him shift from paw to paw.

Pausing, the tom glanced over to Raccoonheart with a simply sigh. "Yea, just thinking about something..."

Occ: Can you really blame him for trying to think of something smooth to say? I mean "What a wonderful day!" "Indeed." "I love you, by the way." isn't very smooth and Raccoon would just give him a funny look.

"What something? You can tell me anything Stormstar if something is bothering you." She stood and went over to sit by him. Raccoonheart had to look up at him seeing how she was a very small she-cat.

His minded raced to come up with something grand to say, but before he knew it four words had suddenly slipped out, his heart being faster then his brain it seemed. "I love you, Raccoonheart!" When he had realized what he had just said, he wanted to curl up in a small ball, but he did do something close to that. In moments, his head was burried deep into his snow white paws.

She sat still for a moment trying to comprehend the four words just said. When she looked down at Stormstar on the ground his face in his paws, she purred. She laid down next to him and cuddled up beside him still purring.

Feeling Raccoonheart next to him, the leader sightly raised his head to glance at the small she-cat. A small smile creeped on his face when he saw her purring. " I-I take it you lo-love me back then?" he whispered. He didn't seem to mind how she was much smaller then him, as he was bigger then most cats, while she was smaller then most... To him, this felt just right.

"Of course I do!" She purred. "I have loved you for a while just never had the guts to say it." She mewed before put her head on his.
