Badgering the Camp

Duststorm growled under his breath. I know that, he thought to himself. I've done this plenty more times than you have.
"I'm not smelling anything," he finally commented after they had gone a little way.

Falconfang skidded to a stop next to Duststorm, parting his jaws to scent the air around them. "I don't either," he mewed finally, suddenly feeling unwell - well, more unwell then he had before. Fighting to stay on his paws, he tipped his head towards his former mentor, his eyes slightly unfocused. "Should we go back?"

Seeing the unfocused look in Falconfang's eyes, Duststorm agreed.
"Come on, let's hurry," he said, turning and breaking into a run.

Falconfang nodded and chased after his mentor, stumbling a few times but keeping himself on his paws. Once they reached the camp, the unsteady warrior collapsed on the ground, letting out a low groan as the world swayed beneath him. "There was... nothing there," he panted out, although he couldn't see if there was anyone to hear him.

Raccoonheart saw Falconfang collapse and rushed over. "You should have told me your were un-well, I would have go instead." She said, then gave a frown. "But thank you. Do you know if it head for another clan territory?"

"I'm fine," he grunted, pushing himself shakily to his paws. Of course, he was lying: his entire body was now being racked with the pain his splitting headache was giving him, and when he looked at Raccoonheart, there were three of the deputy looking at him with frowns, but he didn't want them to know; he didn't want Duststorm to think of him as weak. "Uh, I think... I think it left the territories," he mewed weakly.

OoC: Honestly, I don't know how Windclan borders the other clans, but I always thought Windclan was the clan with an exit from the forests.

"Go see the medicine cat," Duststorm said, not being fooled by Falconfang's act. "The badger is gone, and should not be returning if it knows what's good."

"Alright, fine," Falconfang grumbled, walking past Duststorm and out of camp. "But I'm really okay," he called back, as if to reassure his former mentor that he wasn't a weak warrior that could be felled by a meager badger swipe.

Without a medicine cat in Windclan, Falconfang had to head to the borders. Maybe one of the other medicine cats would check on him.
