Badgering the Camp

Stormstar forced open his eyes, letting out a moan. His head was pounding. His mind was foggy as he tried to recall what had just happened, before his eyes suddenly widen and he sat up strange, the pounding in his head suddenly disappearing. "BADGER!"

There was a soft chuckle as a light grey she-cat stepped from the shadows of Fourtrees, her sapphire blue eyes glowing with the light of stars. "I'm sorry, Stormstar, but there is no badgers here for you to fight."

Stormstar's yellow eyes grew brighter at the sight of the she-cat, not seeming to notice the stars in her fur. "Oh, Streamlight! It's great to see you again..." he suddenly stopped, gazing around the clearing and testing his paws on the grass. "But if you are here...I lost a life didn't I..."

Streamlight bit her lips, nodding slowly as she padded toward the WindClan leader. "Yes, I am sure if you tried you can recall the head-bashing that the badger did to you."

Closing his eyes, Stormstar nodded slowly as his long tail flickered on the grass. "Ah...yea, I remember that now..."

His eyes suddenly opened, tilting his head sightly. "Something is wrong, Streamlight, I can feel it...I feel...lighter..." His eyes suddenly grew wide, as he leaped to his paws and quickly gazed down at his body for any sight of glowing stars. "I didn't die, did I?"

The silver she-cat let out a small chuckle, as she shook her head. "No, Stormstar, you aren't dead. But I do have bad news...You lost two lives."

Gazing back at his once Clanmate, Stormstar's jaw dropped. "Tw-two lives? Ho-how?"

"You took quiet a blow to the head, my love. We could repair it of course, but the effort it took cost you two lives."

His gaze dropped. "Oh."

"Don't fret, you still have six lives!"

"One of which the Clan, other then Raccoonheart, doesn't know I've lost."

Nosing Stormstar's cheek, Streamlight purred. "Everything will be fine. You will join your Clan in a little bit...at least a little bit for you. We do have a bad sense of timing here in StarClan."

Smiling sightly, the leader pawed the she-cat away. "Never did I think I would see a dead cat joke..." he laughed at her, before sighing sadly. "I wish you weren't dead, I should of gone with you on that border patrol..."

Streamlight's blue eyes grew hard as she leaned forward to the WindClan leader. "Don't say that. Nobody other then StarClan knew that a ShadowClan warrior would disrespect the code and take my life. You can't keep yourself down about that. I'm proud of you, Stormstar, more then you will ever know..." she paused, for winking at the tom with a slight smile on her lips. "And I approve of your choice, Stormstar."

Blushing, the tom gazed at the she-cat in surprised. "W-what? I just lost two lives and you are approving me of my choice?" After a few seconds, the tom spoke again. "Choice of what, may I ask?"

"In your choice of mates! Every cat in StarClan knows that you love Raccoonheart...why, I bet everycat in WindClan knows it!" Streamlight laughed, her tail flickering.

"I...I don't think this is the right time for this, Streamlight." Stormstar grumbled, dropping his gaze to his paws as his ears went flat on his head.

Giggling, the she-cat leaned on the tom, her saphire blue eyes shining. "Oh come on, Stormstar! You got a while until you will be fully recovered, anyways, I want to hear what your life has been like in your eyes!"

"Like how my brother is missing and I've spent almost the last moon worrying my tail off before finally giving up?" the tom growled, causing Streamlight to take a step back in surprised. Realizing his tone, Stormstar let out a sad sigh. "Sorry, Streamlight...life has just been so hard...I suppose you are right."

Clearing his throat, the leader sat straight up. "Well, as you know I became quite upset after your death..."
