Hunting alone

Silverwhisper roamed the areas of the territory, hunting for food. Leaffall was becoming more prominent, and Leafbare wasn't far off.

Not so far off in the distant, Raccoonheart was stalking a rabbit. She was about to pounce on it, when the winds shifted and blew from behind her. The rabbit was alerted she was there and ran off into it burrow thing. "Darn!" Raccoonheart mewed as she sat up.

Silverwhisper scented a nearby cat, and moved closer to see who it was. Normally he could tell by scent, but there were many flowers on the moor and made it harder to distinguish individual scents.

Raccoonheart sat there for a moment before getting up and heading in Silverwhisper's direction. She was hoping to find more prey.

Silverwhisper slowed down, hearing oncoming footsteps. He crouched low in the heath, and while he was distinguishable if you were looking for him, his fur did blend into the plants to a degree. He waited until whoever it was came closer, waiting to see who, or what it was.

Raccoonheart heard something in the rustle in the plants. She crouched down hoping it was some more prey as she slowly crept up on it.

Silverwhisper heard plants rustle nearby, and began to wonder if it was an intruder. He crouched, and when he knew it was close, he pounced.

(I'm thinking mid-air collision lol)

Raccoonheart crept a little closer and then sprang towards the source of the sound.

Silverwhisper saw the blur come out from the bushes, and had his claws at the ready just in case. Then he collided in mid-air with the other cat, and fell back down. He was quickly back on his paws and looked towards the cat, hackles bristling. Then he calmed down, as he identified the cat in question. "Raccoonheart." He said with relief, sheathing his claws. "The flower's scent is so strong this time of year, I couldn't tell who you were!" He said, laughing.

(Can cats laugh? o_o)

Raccoonheart looked at Silverwhipser for a moment, before speaking. "I couldn't smell you either I thought you were a piece of prey!" She mewed while laughing.

( I guess so. :D)

Silverwhisper grinned to himself a bit too. Then he scented something else, and this time he was sure it was prey. He crouched and began stalking.
(Never thought I'd type that, but...)

Raccoonheart saw him crouch and did the same in case the prey saw her. She pressed herself against the ground waiting for him to pounce.

He pounced suddenly, but landed an inch off. "Catch it!" He called, as it ran in Coon's direction.

Raccoonheart looked at it a it slipped by but she spun and darted after it. Her paws merely inches away from a kill.

He bounded after them, hoping Raccoonheart would catch it before it found it's hole.
