A training visit :3

Coldpaw continued to glare at her, he bared his teeth as if going to snarl but he knew better in the condition of his throat.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, he swiped a swift claw, raking her nose wide open. He continued to glare at her from where he stood. His expression showed he wasn't going to play with her sarcasm.

Scarlet snarled at him, nose dripping with blood. She stared at him. "Don't do that, Coldpaw. You'll get hurt," she spat, slamming him down with a massive paw. She pressed him into the ground, growling.

Coldpaw continued to bare his teeth, unflinching. It was almost crazy how much he continued to be fearless against her, when Scarlet could easily kill him right there. He could make a good warrior some day...

Blood oozed out of his wounds the more she pressed down, and his eyes turned bloodshot. Finally, he opened his mouth...which was also filled with blood. "R...Release me! Get off...me...now!" He croaked angrily, flattening his ears and failing an attempt to hiss. "If you don't...I'll..."

The amount of blood drooling from his body satisfied her, but she pressed on. "Or what?" she hissed, baring her fangs. "Coldpaw, you better obey me," she raged, shaking from how furious she was starting to become.

Coldpaw narrowed his eyes. "When I'm older, things will be different. But for now, I'll listen to you." He hissed.

"Good," she breathed, releasing her grip and stepping off of him. "Now, did you learn anything in that lesson?"

Coldpaw stumbled to his paws, panting. "Yeah, sorta. I learned speed isn't everything against some cats...but skill counts too?" He mewed, tilting his head wondering if he got that right.

IC: Moongaze watched the fighting pair from the shadows, face gaunt and eyes haunted. The slight she-cat had become trapped within the world of pain and misery, living her life daily listening to the shrieks and dying screams of cats who had made the horrid mistake of coming to this awful world. A rogue Dark Forest warrior had torn her sleeping soul apart during one of her training sessions, ending her life and locking in an infinite life of horror and bloodshed. Moongaze's pale eyes reflected the battle, watching for moves and mistakes the apprentice made. Scarletfire clearly annoyed Coldpaw as much as she did herself, so she had a plan.

ic: Scarlet was surprised that the apprentice didn't make a smart aleck comment. "Yes. And never give in to anyone. Show no mercy," she said, tail whipping the air behind her. "Hm... you did better than most apprentices," she said, shooting a sharp glance to her son, making him shrivel to the ground nervously.

He felt a little pride in those words, but he figured better not to show it. Instead he let out a huff as if the words meant nothing to him. "I never give mercy unless I'm forced to...like when some one gets in my way." He growled darkly, memories just a flickering shadow in his eyes. "But when they do that, they pay."

Moongaze felt herself nodding to his words, understanding his strategy. She had once been like him; but now she saw the real truth behind the ways of the Dark Forest. The pale she-cat was going to help him with his training- to defeat Scarletfire. Moongaze had, had the priviledge to be trained one on one with the legendary Envyshadow. The tom had said she was his best too; surely that must mean something among the ranks?

"Scarletfire." Moongaze greeted coolly, meeting the she-cat's violet eyes with a steely grey gaze. The former SkyClan warrior paced towards the training session, smoky grey pelt on the edge of bristling. But she wouldn't allow herself to look vulnerable or violent. "Who's this?" She asked, nodding her head towards Coldpaw, not even bothering to glance at him.

Scarlet kept her claws unsheathed as the cat approached. "It's just Scarlet, now," she corrected, tail lashing. "And if you must know, this is my apprentice, Coldpaw," she said, looking at him. His pelt was matted with blood. "Just look at him. This apprentice is bathed in blood. He will make a strong warrior," she bragged.

Coldpaw narrowed his eyes at Moongaze. "Who are you? You interrupted out session, you know!" He hissed.

Scarlet gave a nod, but turned to him. "This is Moongaze," she said with the least bit of respect, ear flicking at her.

"Lost the warrior name Scarlet? You a rogue now?" She asked snarkily, eyeing the she-cat with unmistakable hatred. "Quite the warrior indeed. I've been watching your session. The whole time." Moongaze added with a mean twinkle in her foggy blue eyes, sizing Coldpaw up. "You'll probably need to earn his loyalty a little more, or he'll be stealing your pelt off your back soon enough." The pale she-cat gave an eerie laugh.
