butterflystar padded into camp and near the nursery gently set her down "sorry i didn't mean to hurt you, and dont worry we will find you mother and father" she purred licking the kits head.

Icepaw poked his head out of the nursery. "I thought I heard a new kit coming. I went ahead and made a nice soft nest for it too! Why don't you come look at it?" He purred gently to the kit.

Fox ducked her head and looked around the cat, spotting an escape

Runningfoot trotted across camp. She heard a loud wail earlier so she came to inspect it.

"thank you icepaw" she said noticing how friendly her son was becoming and she picked the kit up again and walked into the nursery "this is where the kits stay" she said to fox.

Fox let out a low growl and tried to bite Butterflystar with her needle sharp teeth, "Let me goooooooo"

"calm down" butterflystar said between clumps of fur "were not going to hurt you just make sure your safe"

"Mother if I may, I can take care of the kit." Runningfoot tried to take the kit from her mother's mouth.

"But I can't staaay, I'm gonna go find mommy and daaddddyyyy" she wailed

Icepaw nodded in agreement. "We are Windclan. We do not hurt kits, but if they stray onto our territory with no parents or home, we like to help them by giving them shelter from predators and give them food while their parents are searched for by the best of our clan's trackers." He mewed calmly.

"Do you know what clan your parents are from?" Runningfoot asked the kit. The she-cat was getting annoyed with the kit's attitude towards them trying to help.

"But I don't wanna stay!" Fox snarled, trying to wiggle free. "I wanna find mommy and daddy alone. They lost me after the fox attacked" she wailed. "I have to help mommy and daddy! They got hurrrrt"

"Do you know where?" She knew that if they were seriously injured Willowstream needed to see them quickly.

"By the river" she ducked her head. "They weren't moving. I need to help theemmm" Fox cried

butterflystar nodded in understanding that fox's parents wouldn't be coming to find her anytime soon. "you are staying here" she said in a tone that she would usually only give the older cats.
