It was a joy to train the kits in the Riders of the Storm signature moves. No big bad predator to hunt down for the more blood thirsty of the apprentices and warriors of ShadowClan; just them and his slightly sore ankles from previous training sessions. Before him today stood Juniperkit and Willowkit, two of four kits who suspiciously looked more like their father than their supposed mother Swiftheart. Perhaps the deputy's genetics were just that good; or maybe the distant voice in his head was on to something. "Today, you will be trying to take the yellow flowers - that your medicine cat so kindly gave to me - from my tail using the shadows around camp to conceal you. You'll get one chance to steal them and if you do, you get to keep them for yourselves! Are you ready? Scatter!"

Willowkit stood in front of the scarred nomad. They were a scary lot, at least the warriors were, but today the giant seemed friendly. Not what he had expected from the group of scary rogues. His eyes, however, were glued to the golden flowers in his tail. They were lovely to look at, and even if he failed at what the rogue wanted, he would snatch one of those for himself. At the command to scatter Willowkit obeyed, slipping into the shadows and blending in thanks to his dark pelt. Papa always said the darkest pelts make the brightest warriors, or something stupid like that. Maybe he was right.

Creeping closer to the rogue, Willowkit pounced, and snagged one! A glorious golden flower was held on his paw, though he had marred it slightly with claw marks. Still, a beautiful specimen. Rushing over to his sister, Willowkit prodded her with his head. "Look Juni, look! We got the flower! You distracted him and I got it, we're a good team, right?"
