An additional clarification has been made to Duck & Twist:

"At any point when your opponent has you pinned, roll over onto your paws and attempt to throw them off. Failed escapes still consume SP and cause minimal damage. Roll one "Effect Dice" to determine if your escape is successful."

The old variant:

"When your opponent has you pinned, roll over onto your paws and attempt to throw them off. Failed escapes still consume SP and cause minimal damage. Roll one "Effect Dice" to determine if your escape is successful."

We realize that it could be a bit confusing, but in saying "When your opponent has you pinned," we meant that to be at any point! This verbage clarification has been added to the Battle System.
