Stockpiling [Open WC Hunt]

Hunting wasn't exactly her favorite method of training, but unfortunately, there would always be a need to fill bellies. So she hadn't let out many complaints as she was assigned onto a hunting patrol, even if every part of her would have rather been sparring. There had been a move she had seen one of the more experienced warriors use that she desperately wanted to learn: rearing onto their hind legs, only to come slamming down onto a specific point of their opponent's head. That was a move that she wanted to know how to use. Flicking her tail as she followed out the majority of her patrol-mates, Crakepaw was quick to divert from the group in pursuit of a catch. Of course, the typical hunting protocol had been announced: Call for help if you need it, and try not to come head-first with any predators.

Sniffing the air as she followed the distinctive track of paired steps in the snow, it didn't take her long to hunt down the creature. Attempting to get as close as possible, she kept herself low, moving as she needed to stay out of the hare's senses. Soon as it found her, though, and dared to dart... she gave chase. Her legs pumped, churning snow, and as she got close enough, she turned sharply to cut off the creature. It almost found an escape between her legs, but tossing all of her weight down had meant she would be able to pin it and ultimately catch it.

As her chest huffed, she kept her catch in her maw, looking to see how the rest of her patrolmates were doing.

Rapidpaw liked hunting.  She liked it a whole lot more than sparring that was for certain!  However, she did have to admit, she did find the practice spars they would do more and more fun compared to when she was a kitten.  

She gave a silent and excited wave of her tail to her sister as the patrol started.  As excitable as she was, Rapidpaw still had enough sense not to be loud when looking for prey.  She watched her sister slink off and before she knew it, her sister had caught a hare.  Rapidpaw eyes went wide with awe, her sister was so cool!

She tried to mimic her paws placement to match what crakepaw had done as she sniffed around for other tries.

Picking up the scent of another hare she slowly stalked in that direction.  She could feel her heart beating rapidly from the excitement and building up of this.  She spotted her target and let out a quiet long breath that frosted the air in front of her in a silent cold fog.

She pounced out at her prey her hind legs scampering full forward in her leap as she dove at it

She had timed it very nicely and had pouces right as the hare was also moving and so it could not even react as she quickly got atop it and nipped it’s neck quickly ending it. She held it up in her jaws flicking her tail side to side happy like
