A Little Adventure [C]

"Flower- Littlekit wait!" he called, running after her. The two came to a stop outside the den; Whinchatkit cautiously kept on his toes. "What if they're asleep?!" he squeaked, trying to keep his voice down.

Littlekit smiled not even paying attenion to what Whin was saying. She walked into the elders den wondering if anyone was in here.

Upon returning to camp with the rest of her patrol Silverwing had tried to find Littlekit, though as she spotted another kit following her the warrior decided it might be fun to watch the two for a bit. She was proud that Littlekit was already finding friends, something that she herself had only been able to do as an apprentice. Silently, Silverwing stalked toward the kit that was left outside the elder's den; sitting down just behind him before flinging her paws out and pulling him backwards into a fuzzy embrace. "No bothering the elders, bother me instead!" She mewed playfully.

"Little-" he whisper-shouted before getting cut off by someone seizing him from behind. The kit let out a startled squeak. He had nearly thought an eagle had swooped down to steal him away but instead found himself pressed into the molly's fur.

"Who... are you...?" he asked, squirming to get out of the older cat's grip. He usually didn't mind physical affection but he had been caught off guard. Strangely enough, the warrior's playful demeanor reminded him of a certain someone.

Littlekit smiled at her mother as she also sat down like her friend. "This is whatchit... No wait.. Winchet... No wait... Whinchatkit!" she mewed happily finally getting Whin's name right, she never used it so forgot how to say it. She looked at her friend apologetically.

"Me? I'm the kit eater! I eat cute little kittens that stray too far from the nursery!" Silverwing flashed the tiny kit a smile, only showing a hint of teeth as she did. She didn't want to scare the little guy, but- "Ah! It's Littlestar, come to defeat the great beast!" Silverwing recoiled at the "attack" against her, letting her grip on the other kit loosen as she fell backwards. "I'm defeated, I'm... Wow, good hit Littlestar! You've got such strength in those tiny paws, I'm proud of you!" The warrior reached forward to lick Littlekit's head affectionately. The beast was felled, now it was time to be Motherwing. "Who's your friend, Littlekit? Were you trying to hide him from me?"

Kit eater? Littlestar? Whinchatkit didn't often playfight with other kits, let alone full-grown warriors. He preferred actually learning how to do those things rather than pretending to do those things. So this was Little's mom! As he tumbled out of her grasp, he went to back up his friend against the 'monster', but it seemed that Little hadn't needed any help. The tom sat back to let the two have their space. No wonder they were so affectionate with each other...
