Mottlestar
“May the stars light our paths.”
ooc; as with the time chaos of the moment, this is set in some odd time-void amidst the current events of TC.
Mottlestar's steps were swift as she moved towards the border to Skyclan and Thunderclan. In truth, Beetleshade's admission had surprised her much more than Dayquill's. Out of all of the warriors she had anticipated to find love beyond their borders, Beetleshade wasn't one of them. At the very least, that was namely due to the fact that Beetleshade had seemed to turn up her nose at any slight mention of those outside of Thunderclan. But as her rules said, and as she stuck to, she wouldn't hold it against the molly and resolve it in a civil matter between herself and Birdstar. After all, inner-clan matters didn't need to be broadcast to the entire forest.
So she found a spot, with her warrior behind her. Any patrol that would pass, and she would offer a dip of her head. "Greetings. If you can, could you bring Birdstar, and your warrior by the name of Trufflesnap? Thank you." Her voice was diplomatic, truly pure with the kindness that she existed with.

The patrol member did not need to go far to get Birdstar. Trufflesnap had taken every opportunity to be near the ThunderClan border since Beetleshade agreed to speak to Mottlestar. Her heart races as she did so from the back of the patrol. Her calico pelt gleamed in the speckled sunlight as she reached the pair. Looking to Beetleshade subtly, she tried to read her emotions before turning to Mottlestar. "I'm Trufflesnap." She said in a normal voice that was both a statement and a question. Is Mottlestar letting her join?

Birdstar
To hear Mottlestar was waiting by the Fallen Oak was fine– friendly, even. To hear it was Mottlestar and a strange warrior, worrying. To hear it was two cats, and they had requested not only her, but Trufflesnap? Birdstar wanted to crawl over the fence to twolegplace and hide between those grimy shadows until night settled. Whatever this meeting was for, she was going to regret being present. Birdstar’s hackles already stood on end when the pair approached the border.
Birdstar watched her sister narrowly while she introduced herself. An ear flicked before she quietly turned towards the ThunderClanners. Her gaze lingered on the unfamiliar warrior, appraising, before moving finally to Mottlestar, to whom she bowed her head. “It’s good to see you well.” Even if the kindness in her mew was strained by discomfort, she meant what she said.
Taking a slight step closer, Birdstar flicked her tail towards each of their accompanying warriors. “But what are we here to talk about, Mottlestar? What have-” She paused, biting back a sharp what have these two done? The odds of Trufflesnap being involved in something good were concerning at best. Ever since she got sick when they were apprentices, Trufflesnap had been on a private crusade against the world. Shaking her head, Birdstar slowly finished, “I’m sorry, I... What I mean to ask is: has something happened?”

Beetleshade was hoping this meeting went well. Trufflesnap had insisted her sister wouldn't mind if she moved to Thunderclan, but then again she'd also described Birdstar as a controlling power freak. What if the Skyclan leader refused? She shifted impatiently next to Mottlestar, her head jerking up as she heard Trufflesnap's voice. She almost purred at the sight of her mate, though she forced herself to remain composed, meeting Trufflesnap's gaze calmly.
