Intruder Alert [Shadowclan Sitewide Finale]

Dogs. Moondancer had been curled in the warrior's den when the yowls of alarm woke her, and sure enough barking and snarling accompanied it. Eyes wide and fur standing on end in alarm, the new warrior jolted from her nest and made it out of the den, taking in the scene around her. Her eyes immediately found her mother and Redice, and the warrior darted forward to assist. She didn't care about Redice really, but Leopardsun? She would do anything for her family.

Moondancer used Front Paw Strike on Dog for -7 sp, dealing -7 damage.

One thing Echomist didn't expect to scent while out on his hunt was dog. Fear gripped the tom's throat as he was quick to follow the scent hoping that it would take him away from the camp, but with every step his fear grew. It was leading right to camp. The cries of the battle were quick to hit his ears and the tom raced inside the camp. Green eyes quick to scan the clearing finding the pelt of his mate and kit. He was quick to launch himself at the predator that occupied their attention.

It was safe to say that the dogs were unhappy with the cats attacking them. Even the warriors' best assault had hardly dented their much larger opponents, and now the intruders turned their attention to their attackers rather than just the place they'd stumbled upon.

The first of the dogs lashed out at the one who had shouted first, and the one who had landed the first blow. The most immediate threat.

Leopardsun wasn't about to back down, however, and recovered quickly from being thrown back (ignoring the sting of the impact); claws and teeth tearing into whatever exposed flesh she could reach.

The second dog found itself assaulted by a number of cats, and turned its gaze to each of them before attacking the one that had most recently joined the fight. Powerful jaws clamped down on the cat's leg, ensuring that it would regret the attack.

The third dog found itself facing only two of the cats, though any thoughts of winning easily were quickly dispelled as one of them hit with unprecedented strength. The other attempted to follow, but injured itself in the attempt. Perhaps that one would take care of itself? For now, the third dog turned its attention to the one who had landed a successful blow.

Badgerpaw stood cowering at the entrance of the nursery as her Clanmates swarmed the dogs - thought her eyes remained locked on her mother...And her sister and her father who had joined fighting the same dog. Terror rooted her in place, claws digging ever deeper into the ground as they struck out at the dog - only for it to return a hefty blow to Leopardsun. It barely slowed her mother down but horror clawed at her heart.

What was she doing? She was cowering while her Clanmates put their lives on the line! Her mom had asked for cats to protect the dens but she... She had just taken this spot because it was easier. Her Clanmates had the dogs well in paw, all she had to do was stand here and hiss if any drew too close but... She couldn't accept it - not when she found herself staring at where her mother's blood was staining the ground.

She had to protect them, she was going to be a warrior one day! She couldn't...

She couldn't be a coward.

With a growl, she broke from her guarding spot and darted across the camp - weaving her way between the fights until she had reached the dog that had struck her mother. With all of her strength, she threw herself straight into the dog's underbelly - before she wiggled away and slashed at its back leg as she took up a position behind it - eager to stay away from those drooling jaws.

Following Leopardsun's call, Harrierpaw was right on Redice's heels, splitting off from Tawnypaw and Sagepaw after making quick glances in the direction of both the nursery and elders den. They were safe. For now. On Redice's failure to scure a belly rake, Harrierpaw, for some reason, chose to try it anyway.

Sliding under Dog #1, Harrierpaw raked her overgrown claws along the dogs belly.

Tigershriek emerged from his new nest in the Warrior's Den upon hearing Leopardsun's rallying cry to the clan. Dogs. He hadn't had a good fight in a while, but he was a warrior now. He would prove himself, or die trying. Glimpsing Nightstar and Swiftheart fighting a dog on their own, the fresh warrior rushed toward it, unsheathing his claws. He would not let these dogs ruin what he had been gifted. A home, a family, something to fight for.

With a deep snarl, Tigershriek savagely ripped his claws against the dog's front legs as he dashed through, coming to a quick stop near Swiftheart. Nightstar had already been bitten, his clanmates were fighting for their lives. He would not lose them. He would kill all the dogs himself if he had to. Tigershriek didn't mind, it was his duty after all.

Tigershriek used Front Paw Strike on Dog #3! It deals 7 damage, and uses 5 stamina (-2 MC buff)!

Nightstar screeched when he felt the dogs jaws wrap around him and bite; a searing pain making the leader's vision flash white for a few heartbeats, hardly processing the cats rushing to his aide. Maybe he'd at least keep his wits about him had it been any other time, when that time wasn't him trying to recover from a monster slamming into him while he made the worst decision of his life so far and saved a Windclan cat of all cats.

But that was then, and Nightstar needed to get his head in the game, curling around the black tom snapped his jaws around the top of the dogs muzzle, doing his best to return the feeling.

Nightstar used Snap, dealing 12 (10+2) Damage and Costing 6 Stamina.

Tawnypaw's eyes widened as the dogs lashed out. All around her, her clanmate's cries of horror and pain rang out, blocking out every sound except for the blood rushing through her head. To think that these dogs had just strolled into the Shadowclan camp and hurt her clanmates... She would make them pay. Hurling herself at the dog alongside Sagepaw, she ducked and lashed out with her paws, aiming for the dog's soft belly.

Just as she was about to claw at the beast, she felt jaws ripping at her back and flinging her away. Pain exploded through her body, and her legs collapsed under her weight. Blood splattered all around her, and Tawnypaw closed her eyes to regain her thoughts. She... failed...

Tawnypaw tried to use Bellyrake and failed, dealing no damage and -23SP

Shrieking in pain as the dog gripped onto his leg, he stumbled back when released. It was in this moment he realized he had missed his mark, and Nightstar was on the other dog nearby. But only apprentices were fighting this one, so it was still very noble of him to do, if you asked him. Jumping back into the fray, he swung his claws madly at the dog's face.

Swiftheart was shocked to see the dog deliver a strong hit to her brother.  It made her terrified and worry about him losting another life.  She scrambled forward clawing at the dog to try and get it distracted and turn its attention away from the injured leader.

Tiger joined them and that would help for sure she hoped it would be enough.
