“You mouse-brain!” Russetrye yelped as strong jaws clamped onto her scruff. “I said let me go!” The youthful she-cat twisted out of the ShadowClanner’s grasp, panting and bloodied. Her wild gaze caught Nightstar wreaking havoc on Amberstone- blood everywhere- Russetrye spun to the side and dry heaved into the grass, glad for once that she’d not yet eaten today. It wasn’t like- it was like Nightstar had made a messy kill, but instead of a hare or mouse it was a cat. The red-pelted she-cat gulped down bile, paws trembling. ”Let- you’ve won! Let us go-“

The young WindClanner scrambled to Amberstone’s side, crouched down, panting and bloodied- a sorry sight indeed. She struggled to support the other she-cat, paws trembling. They- it would be such a long walk back to Highstones, and then they would be there. If Amberstone was still able to walk, Russetrye would support her- if necessary, she’d grab the other WindClanner’s scruff in her jaws and brace herself for the longest walk of her life. Either way, Russetrye would make her getaway with all possible speed.

Russetrye used Disengage, using up all remaining stamina and leaving the battle! She is now helping Amberstone back to Highstones.

Amberstone could not command her muscles to obey her. Nightstar was some sadistic psychopath, clearly, because after a moment of reveling in her fear, he proceeded to gut her where she stood. Instinct finally kicked in and Amberstone found enough strength to curl into a ball and brace for further damage. She didn't want to see how bad the damage was. She didn't want to try to move for fear of tripping over her own entrails.

The damage thankfully wasn't that bad, but she'd have scars. Amberstone was beyond able to speak. Russetrye grabbed her by her scruff and she couldn't move. Unfortunately for Russetrye, Amberstone was going to be dead weight all of the way to Highstones. Wiggling around with a gut injury was a bad idea and she knew it.

Amberstone got wrecked! She is balled up and will not move. Russetrye has to drag her.

Nightstar snorted indignantly as he watched the small she-cat curl into a ball and cower. His attention turned to look at the red she-cat... Russetpaw - who was spilling her guts into the grass - and then to Locustcall who would continue his onslaught on them if he ordered him to. Their battle was won, and their message clear; if Russetpaw's begging and the she-cat he had just mauled's cowering was any indication. Sighing heavily, Nightstar raised his tail to call Locustcall to a standstill.

"Locustcall, grab the golden she-cat. We're making a trip to Windclan." He ordered, his amber gaze landing on Russetpaw, conveying that she had no choice in the matter. He had a message to give to Shrikestar and what better way to do it than having already made an example of his warriors?

The smaller she-cat wiggled out of his teeth and claws to retch. Pathetic, could she not handle blood? He let her heave, more to save his own hide from whatever might come up than out of respect. Though, when she started to scamper like a mouse to her friend's side, the calico's muscles bunched beneath his skin, ready to leap once more into action before Nightstar signaled for him to halt. Locustcall hesitated, but nodded, straightening himself. A shame, but it would be simpler to have to drag one instead of two.

He followed the black-furred tom's orders without a word, approaching the two she-cats. He took the cowering cat's scruff from the red she, his face unreadable as he quietly started the trek towards Windclan. It would be faster this way and highstones was already far enough, he didn't need an injured cat slowing them down trying to drag another.
