Despite Smallbean's best efforts the fox was eventually able to get it's paws beneath itself, throwing him off. He hit the ground with a thud, and although it knocked the wind out of him he wasn't really hurt. Shakily pulling himself to his paws he noticed that the fox was already very weak. Daisybreeze was right, it wouldn't take much more to bring the fox down- it was heavily wounded. He almost felt bad for it.

In an attempt to bring the fox down once and for all, he darted over and stood up on his hind legs, bringing his unsheathed claws down on the fox's head. As blood welled up beneath his claws the fox let out a yowl and collapsed on itself. When Smallbean was done he carefully backed away, but the fox was already defeated. His paws were covered in blood, but none of it his own. The feeling of it drying to his fur made him uncomfortable.

Chest heaving, he cast a weak smile over to Daisybreeze. "We did it, huh." Approaching the fox again, he softly nudged the it's body to double-check that it was dead. As he expected, there was no response.

With his head low he padded back over to Daisybreeze. "Daisybreeze... I'm sorry this went so wrong, you were supposed to have fun and now you're hurt." His voice was low. Even though he started the trip in a dreary mood, he felt bad for how it ended. "We should go back to camp, get Batsong to dress your wounds so they don't get infected." He paused, remembering how they'd originally came out to hunt. "Maybe after you get your wounds treated, we could share the rabbit I caught."


Smallbean used Upright lock on Fox dealing 12 HP and costing 10 SP. Fox is KO'd!
