Flip, Flop, and Splash [Open - hunting]

Sootspirit sat in the shallows of the river, the rushing water lapping at his paws giving the tom a slight chill. Every day it seemed to get a little colder, nothing to different from the warm heat they had grown used too. It was only a matter of time until Leaf-fall hit, and they needed to take advantage of the plentiful prey before eventually it would retreat. So here he sat, making sure no one fell into the high water while also fishing.

Like his mentor taught him, once he saw a fish come close, he lashed out at it. The dark tom plucked the fish from the water, killing it with his blow, leaving it near him on the shallows. He would bury it in a moment, he wanted to enjoy the water for a moment longer.

Sprucebark had gone with him on the hunting patrol, he sat by the waters edge.  The young warrior was a little supsiresd that his companion liked to fish in the water instead of the dry shore like he did but it seemed to be working well as he had caught a fish.  Sprucebark grinned and nodded to his patrol partner as he focused down at the water hoping that a fish would soon come within stricking distance from where he was positioned.

Seeing one move closer he grinned and held his paw steady over the water to try and hit it as it passed underneath.

He caught it and prured happily as he managed to hoist it up onto the shore next to him, it would be a nice meal for maybe an elder or kit back at camp
