A splash of Ginger (Open!)

Gingerkit slowly peered out at the rest of camp from under the bush. Slowly he crept out and padded happily through camp, his handsome red tail waving behind him and his eyes gleaming as he looked around excitedly. Oh, the possibilities! He skipped off to the fresh kill pile and selected a mouse. After settling down he began to chew loudly and determinedly. This was his second mouse- he had had his first only a few days ago.

Lionkit hadn't spent much time outside the den yet but when she noticed Ginerkit slip out of the den, she got very curious. After thinking for a moment she slipped out into the camp. At forst her eyes took a minute to adjust to the sun but once she did she stared around in awe. She looked around and spotted Gingerkit who she had followed out and padded out behind him. "Hi." She said quietly. "Would you mind if I sat with you?" She asked nervously and her tail swished slightly back and forth.

"Sure!" the young kit purred, abandoning his mouse and smiling at his new friend.

Lionkit grinned back at him and sat down next to him. "My name is Lionkit." She said her voice quiet as usual. "What's your name?" She asked curiously

"Gingerkit," The small tom wrapped his red tail around his feet, looking around the camp in interest.
