Fawnshine

The sun was setting, so the last few glimpses of the still shining sky urged Fawnshine to head to Highstones. She was ready to take Flurrypaw to the Moonstone, and all that was left to do now was to wake the apprentice up. Carefully wrapping up the herb bundle, the medicine cat ate hers and made her way to the Apprentices' den.

"Flurrypaw, it's time to go to the Moonstone." She mewed softly, careful not to awake any other apprentices. She backed away at the sight of the she-cat, making space for Flurrypaw to get out. "Once you eat these herbs, we can start going." Her paw would nudge the herb bundle towards the apprentice, standing in waiting for her to finish.

As usual, sleep had not come easily for Flurrypaw, for it seemed that she had only slept for a heartbeat until Fawnshine's voice reached her ears. Blinking sleep from her eyes, she quickly got onto her paws and gave her pelt a hasty grooming. Today is the day... she recited, half disbelieving that it had finally come. Soon as she popped her head out of the den, the medicine cat was waiting, ready with the mixture of herbs she had prepared. "Thank you." she mewed, realizing that she had developed a sort of liking towards Fawnshine. She's sensible. And loyal. A tentative paw reached out to touch the strange bundle of leaves before the molly tucked in. She had to gulp several times before the flavor had died down, but once the worst of it had gone away, Flurrypaw was ready to go. "The herbs aren't that terrible, really. Anyways, I think we can get going now, right?"

Fawnshine

A faint smile came from the medicine cat as the apprentice attempted to hide the untasteful flavors some of the herbs carried. Truly, she would've put some honey in it to soften the flavors... Though resources shouldn't be wasted. For other unexpected twists of events, maybe. Though she hoped they would never come. "Hmm, really? You're the first to say that." Fawnshine would nod. With the herbs eaten, they were ready to go.

Stopping in front of Highstones to guide the apprentice with the basics, she had requested for Flurrypaw to stay close to her. If not by the tip of her tail, then by following her scent. It was best not to get lost in the depths of the tunnel. Ducking into the darkness of the tunnel, she would lead her there. Soon enough, they reached the glowing stone — the Moonstone. "Touch your nose to the stone, and StarClan will guide the rest for you. I'll be here if you need me, Flurrypaw."
