Woolypaw's Moonstone Journey

Another bundle of herbs, another apprentice. While Yarrowpaw had seemed a lot like Poppyshine, being the apprentice dream, Woolypaw made her think of her brother, Rushtalon. Such a kind cat, and willing to do anything for the cats he loved. She chuckled a bit, thinking of how him and Owlshriek had always fought for Poppyshine's attention. Her brother had been willing to fight impossible odds for the she-cat who was now their deputy.

Making her way over to the fluffy tom, she dropped the traveling herbs at his paws, a smile still on her face as fond memories filled her thoughts. Those would be the times she would choose to remember of her brother.

"You ready to go, Woolypaw?"

Dovesight led the way into the moonstone, just as she had done a few times before, and would many times after. "Touch your nose to the moonstone, and StarClan will greet you on the other side."

Woolypaw looked up at Dovesight with a smile, an action that made him wince in light of the still-raw pink scar around the back of his neck. He sucked it up, though. Dovesight had already worked hard treating him, there was no sense in complaining now. He took the herb bundle, choking it down with only a small wrinkle of his nose, and he was ready. "Yes, all ready!" He hopped to his feet and began to follow Dovesight on their long walk to the Moonstone.

They finally arrived, Woolypaw's feet only slightly aching. He suspected they'd be a good sight sorer had he not taken the herbs. He nodded to the medicine cat, settling down at the Moonstone and closing his eyes. Taking a deep breath of anticipation, he pressed his nose to the pale blue stone.
