Briarthorn continued to walk amongst the trees, keeping a careful eye and ear out for any nearby prey. However, unfortunately, a hawk was also seeking a meal, and had apparently decided she’d make a good lunch. Thatvwas where the hawk went wrong, though. It quickly swooped down and battered her back with it’s talons, leaving deep score marks across her back and causing a hiss to escape her maw. Fighting a predator hadn’t been in her plans today, but she supposed that’s what she’d have to do. Reaching out as far as she could with unsheathed claws, she managed to snag a few feathers from the bird and tear into it’s skin before it retreated back into the sky, readyijg itself for the next attack.

The Hawk used Talon Strike, dealing -7 Health Points and using -10 Stamina Points.
Briarthorn used Front Paw Strike, dealing -10 Health Points and using -7 Stamina Points.

Briarthorn:
53/60 HP [-7]
127/140 SP [-7]

Hawk:
30/40 HP [-10]
115/125 SP [-10]

Briarthorn suddenly let out a hiss, and Driftcloud raised their head to see a hawk striking her with its talons. He dropped what he was doing and rushed over, assessing the situation quickly before springing up into the air with their powerful hind legs. They snapped their teeth at the hawk as it was retreating, catching the bird's foot in his jaws. He bit down hard, drawing blood from the predator before dropping back down to the ground.

Driftcloud panted with the exertion, glancing over at Briarthorn. "You alright?" he hissed, his voice low as his eyes searched the skies above for the hawk's next attack.


Driftcloud used Snap on the hawk, dealing 8 damage and costing 7 stamina.
