Berrypaw's Medicine Cat Ceremony

It seemed Berrypaw had recovered well from the greencough he was suffering through. The apprentice still needed a few days to recover his strength fully, but it all seemed to go well. Even going as far as picking up his duties again. Dovefrost was proud. Some part of him was going to miss helping Windclan, but he made sure they knew that if they needed him, he would always come help.

"It's time Berrypaw, we need to get going if we want to make it to the Moonstone on time." The large tom said to the apprentice. "Let me know if you need any breaks, I don't want to push you too hard just after your recovery."

Dovefrost had followed after the apprentice, letting the younger tom lead him all the way to the Moonstone. He was glad the tom knew the way to highstones, it would be important for him later on when Berrypaw would be on his own. The large white tom disappeared into the tunnels after Berrypaw, but when they stepped inside the cavern the tom stepped to the front, settling in front of the stone, with his back facing the glowing rock.

"I, Dovefrost, medicine cat of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help he will serve his clan for many moons." He said, his voice even, and flat like it normally was. Tonight Berrypaw would get his full name, and walk with the stars as a full medicine cat. For now on, he could serve Windclan fully, they wouldn't need Dovefrost anymore. "Berrypw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between clan and clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?" He asked, recalling the familiar words that were spoken to him in his own ceremony.
