Twisted cages made from thorns and vines littered Fourtrees, and bloodstains from the battle not even a moon ago still lay undisturbed on the ground. Clumps of fur, animal pelts, and barriers made of rock were among the many other symbols that signified Asylum's undoing. Briarthorn had made the swift journey across the thunderpath and into Fourtrees for no reason other than the slim chance that she might find that curious she-cat with half her pelt scorched that she'd met not long before Asylum's reign. It was odd, the connection they'd made in just one meeting, and Briarthorn hated herself for wanting more, for wanting to find her again. Though she wasn't entirely sure what she felt, she knew she wasn't supposed to.

So, now she found herself dodging and leaping around the thorny cages that confined not only her Clanmates, but her family members across the five Clans. It was insane, the magnitude of what Asylum had done, and deep inside, Briarthorn found herself almost admiring it. She hated the restrictions they'd placed on the Clan, but what they were doing was simply amazing, even if it was slightly demented. With a huff, she realized that she was seemingly the only she-cat present, and the only sign of SkyClan was the stale scent of their own on several nearby landmarks. Dejectedly, she huffed and sat down right in the middle of the clearing, closing her eyes, and listening to the sound of nearby birds chirping.

Mountainpaw bounded through the underbrush, blissfully unaware of the absolute cacophony she was creating in the process. Had she been smaller she would probably have tripped on the thick foliage, but being as large as she was her paws simply ripped the plants as they got trapped in them. She turned back to Sneezingpaw with a grin. "The last to get to Fourtrees is crowfood!" She galloped at top speed, truly a sight to behold, before planting her butt in the clearing and skidding to a very unsophisticated halt. "I totally won this one! I'm like a..." She scrunched up her stubby muzzle, trying to think of a fast animal. All the fast ones lived in Africa and it would make no sense for her to know about them! Were fish fast? Or maybe hares or something? She wasn't sure, she'd never raced one. She should do that sometime. It sounded fun. She'd entirely forgotten the point of this train of thought, but now she really wanted to race a hare. Or a fish. Or something.

Her animal-racing daydreaming was cut off by a sound from behind her. Was it her birdie friend? Perhaps one of their moms, come to scold them for being out this far? She hopped to her feet and spun to look at the source of the noise, a huge grin crossing her muzzle when she saw. A big fluffy cat! Even bigger than her!! And from a different Clan, no less! She padded up to her excitedly. "Hello! My name is Mountainpaw! You're fluffy! My sister is fluffy too. Sneezingpaw! Come say hi to the fluffy cat!"

Sneezingpaw followed after his sister, eyebrows wiggling as she thought of what her moms what say. No doubt they'd scold them, but Fourtrees just sounded so cool! Brambles formed anklets around her paws as she bounce step trotted after Mountainpaw. "You're on!" She mewed back, sticking her tongue out. The large speckled apprentice took off after her sister, fully intent on beating her-- after all, being crowfood didn't sound too fun-- until she spotted a pretty purple and blue butterfly. Instinctively, she skidded (much like a horse if she'd ever seen one) to a stop, white speckled paws looking more brown.

Her eyes widened into circles, and she dropped into a crouch, rump far too high in the sky and she batted at the bug. "Hah! Menacechonk! Come looki--" Halfway through her sentence, it seemed to dawn on Sneezingpaw that she'd completely forgotten about the race. Oops. Snorting perhaps a bit too loudly, she galloped over to where Mountainpaw was, calling over her shoulder, "Bye bye, little butterfly!"

Having turned her head to look at the fluttering creature, Sneezingpaw didn't realize how close she was to her sister until the THUD. "OOFPFT--" Sneezingpaw squealed, colliding directly into Mountainpaw.

Her sister, however, didn't seem to realize and trotted away. Glancing up from her sprawled out position on the ground, Sneezingpaw looked up to see the most beautiful cat she'd ever seen, well, aside from Dennisbro. She was tall, and dark, and had piles of fluff. Sneezingpaw shot up from the ground and darted over, looking up at her with mystified eyes. "Hi! Woah, you're really pretty. I like your fur! Can I touch it? I bet it's soft!" She chirped, absolutely delighted to meet this big cat. Even if she was a little smelly.
