Petalpaw writhed in Dovepaw's grasp, spitting and hissing her fury. "We need the herbs to survive! And you all are being selfish in keeping them to yourselves!"

Squirrelpaw shook her head and laughed weakly. "Take them from our weak bodies then. Go steal the herbs that belong to us. I hope you're successful in your attempt." The apprentice had done what she could.

Ivystar was never one to hesitate, and attacked with vigour. Smashing paws, slashing flesh. But she couldn't let the other's leader's words roll off her back like water on a duck's feathers. Each word stirred a beast within. "SkyClan had shared all they could, but even their best efforts couldn't fix the wounds you and your murderous allies gouged into my clan. What has RiverClan done to you that your pathetic excuse of a clan keeps harming ours?! First your son, then your warriors and now your apprentices! Why can't they leave our clan alone?! Did your mothers lack a soft touch? Are your mentors brain-dead code-breakers?"

Otterleap took advantage of the poor she-cat's dazed state, rising himself into his full height to smash his forepaws down onto her head with brutal speed that he's practiced through his clan moves. His claws raked at her ears, slicing through flesh. For a second, a wave of bloodlust took him, overwhelming his sense till he remembered what happened last time he entered this frenzied state.

Badgerthorn let out a growl as the she-cat attacked him again but he couldn't even see straight to make a move. Even if he did try to hit her he was pretty sure he would miss by a long shot. The charcoal tom stayed in his spot waiting for his daze to clear up so he could attack.

With a hiss of her own to match his growl, Amberpelt reared backwards once again - but this time she pulled up her front paws with her. With an angry flash in her eyes, she brought down her paws toward his head - planning to make use of his stunned state for the last few precious seconds it was going to last. There was something about battling that existed her - even if she loathed to admit it. She liked to think she was a prim and proper cat, caring more about sunning and grooming it but yet...She enjoyed getting dirty when it came to fighting. Not in the way that would caused her to seek it out, but it was fighting for her Clan was what excited her the most when it came to it. Every cat was loyal toward something - most of the time it was their Clan, sometimes it was their own wishes and desires...Any chance she got to prove where her loyalties lied was a good day.

...As she took a step away from the WindClan tom, she blinked as she realized that she was being rather dramatic with this giant internal monologue she was giving herself in the heat of battle. Whoops.

Finally the daze was gone. He was thankful for it. He knew he didn't have much strength left but he wouldn't allow this warrior to get away without more scars to remember him by. It was a sensation that she'd rather forget, but was mostly likely unable to forever. It didn't matter who she was fighting, the battle felt just like her fight against ThunderClan as an apprentice.

Jaystream's fur bristled with fury as he snarled at the other deputy. He sunk his claws into the snow, clearly angered by the words of the more experienced warrior. Even if it was true that Goldeneye, thanks to Starclan, wasn't going to have any disability due to her wounds, the warrior knew that she was about to die when he luckily found her. "I found her laying in her own blood with her stomach completely open because of one of your fox-hearted clanmates! She was maimed! She's scarred for her whole life but that didn't stop her to recover as the strong she-cat she is! And I won't let you insult my friend!" He spatted, slashing the she-cat forehead with his claws.

That was going too far. The pain from Ivystar's claws was no worse than her insults. Finally managing to stagger to her feet, claws unsheathed, Ashstar stared with ice-cold disdain into her opponent's eyes. "Every time my warriors have made mistakes, I try my hard to remedy it- peacefully. We aren't the battle-hungry fox-hearts who start any of these battles!" Memories from the first time RiverClan decimated WindClan, along with Blizzardstar turning up bloody and battered in the snow, fueled the leader's rage. "We get into skirmishes that injure your cats, yet you murder a ThunderClan apprentice and take every move to discourage retaliation. Stop living a double-standard where RiverClan is the exception to all your high-pawed moral rules, and actually lead your Clan to something other than bloodshed and death!" Breathing heavily, but back on her feet, Ashstar was ready to claw the bloodthirsty she-cat into oblivion. "Don't blame me for problems that you cause."

Quailfeather took a sharp intake of breath as her ear was torn open by the tom's claws, and tried to steel herself against any further reaction. She would make Silentstrike proud of her! The enemy warrior's eyes, filled with some sort of crazed bloodlust, reminded her forcibly of Sleetfang- the insane RiverClan warrior that a whole uneven battle patrol of cats had barely managed to defeat at Fourtrees. Maybe there was some relation? What was wrong with him, though? and did his Clanmates care at all that there was some sort of demon living inside that tom? Shaking the thoughts out of her head, the senior warrior got up, ear bleeding, ice-blue eyes sharp pinpricks of fury. WindClan would win.

Well, really, what had she expected- a magical lack of the pain she'd felt at the border? On the contrary, this seemed almost worse. Still, Snowblossom managed not to cry out in pain at the heavy blows that the WindClan warrior inflicted on her almost immediately. If it weren't for her deep-seated loyalty to her Clan, she would have turned and run, in fear of the agony she'd felt that day. But all she had to do was think of Lakewhisper, his deep amber eyes, and the peace she felt in her Clan, and some nerve she didn't know she had solidified her stance. She was still terrified, though. Letting out a tiny squeak, the fluffy white warrior slashed the tom across his face, repulsed at the feeling of his blood under her claws. She knew that the enemy warriors were horrible monsters, but.... it just didn't seem right, this violence. And she hated it with every fiber of her being.
