How do you Deal? [Closed Now]

Tatteredleaf didn't know why she was the one asked to lead a hunting patrol. She couldn't hunt anything anymore, no matter how hard she tried she always failed. She couldn't even hunt an injured mouse correctly.. But here she was, the scarred warrior sitting at the entrance of camp waiting on a set amount of others to join her so she could take them on a hunting patrol. The gray and white warrior let out a sigh. Starclan just wanted to torment her.

Flickerpaw was bored. She padded over towards Tatteredleaf. "This a hunting patrol about to take form? Can I join you?" She asked.

”A good o’ hunting patrol would be nice,” Ivypaw mewed, padding up to the two.

DaisyHeart came out of the nursery with a big smile. She saw a hunting patrol being made and decided she needed a break from lilykit. She walked up to them. "may I join?" she asked smiling.

The ever-cheerful Emberheart spotted Tatteredleaf at the camp entrance. "Patrol? You wouldn't happen to need some company, would you?" she asked, upbeat and friendly.

Birdflight walked out of the warrior's den, ready to begin her day. The warrior then noticed her former mentor sitting at the entrance of the camp probably taking a patrol. The Calico warrior began to walk up to Tatteredleaf, a sad smile on her face. This she-cat had taught Birdflight all she knew. She was always kind to her and yet, she was scarred physically and maybe mentally too. "H-Hey Tatteredleaf. Are you taking a patrol? May I join if that's the case?" The warrior internally flinched when she spoke the she-cat's new name. Birdflight was used to calling her Shadowleaf.

Robinpaw raced out of the apprentice den with a massive grin on her face. She was finally out of that wretched medicine den! The scars on her face and chest were a cruel reminder of how her life was all most taken by a RiverClan tom, but at least she could hunt again now. And, hey, battle scars looked pretty cool! She padded over to Tatteredleaf with a new spring in her step. "Is this a patrol? Mind if I join you?" she asked, her voice light and happy despite her appearance. Shrewheart had always told her to never be scared, so she tried her very hardest to find every single positive in any situation thrown at her. She smiled at Flickerpaw as she sat down carefully with the forming patrol, settling her tail neatly over her front paws.

Violetpaw padded up to the growing group of apprentices and warriors. "Is this a hunting patrol? Can I join you?"

Dull amber eyes looked around at all the cats who approached wanted to join. Tatteredleaf nodded. This was a good group for a hunting patrol. Hopefully she could catch at least something today.. She didn't need to make a fool of herself in front of this whole group. "This works." The damaged warrior stood. "Follow me, I plan on hunting around Skyclan border, so make sure you don't cross it." The forest was more restored over there, so they would have more luck. Tatteredleaf walked out of camp leading the group near the Skyclan border.

ooc: Everyone here needs to try to catch two things, and then we will be done here. You get two tries if they both work yay if they both don't then eh. Just two attempts.

Flickerpaw followed Tatteredleaf out.

When they reached where they were going Ivypaw sniffed the air and pricked her ears, and followed the scent of a shrew. She lowered herself into a crouch once she’s saw it and crept forward. She stepped on a dry leaf and her prey was gone in a flash.


OOC: I have the worst luck with shrews. I’m not sure any of my cats has ever caught one.

DaisyHeart watched as her apprentice hunted and smiled at how well she was doing. She sniffed the air and caught the scent of mouse. She stalked it then pounced. Killing it.

Tatteredleaf watched the others as they started to split off from the group. They said to meet back here when they were done. The gray and white she-cat padded further back towards the camp hoping to find something there, and thinking none of the others would follow her. The she-cat limped with her mouth open trying to scent something, shortly she found a squirrel trying to dig up the nuts from the burnt remains of trees and new growth.

With a deep breath the warrior unsteady crouched and crept forward trying her best not to startle the prey. Once she thought she was good enough she jumped. She was shocked and amazed when she felt the fluff caught under her paws. She felt a light and airy feeling in her chest as she swiftly killed the squirrel. She caught something! She hadn't done that since her encounter with the badger. She quickly buried the piece of prey and went looking for something else.
