A dove's boredom (Open)

Dovekit looked around the nursery where she had been cooped up since she was found. All the kits here were playing or sleeping. Dovekit called out to her nurserymates, "Hey, does anybody wanna go outside and play a game or sumfin'?"

Birchkit tumbled in the dust after a failed attempt to catch a beetle, watching it fly off in a lazy line to the other side of the den. When Dovekit spoke up, she hopped to her feet. "Yeah, the den's boring!" She mewed, dragging out the last word.

Dovekit nodded in agreement and sauntered out of the nursery. She pointed to a rock a few fox-lengths away with her tail. "Wanna race to that rock over there?" she asked, confident in her athletic frame and long legs.

Spottedpaw noticed kits coming out to play and couldn't help but feel jealous. Just a moon ago she was a kit now she was apprentice training to be a warrior. "hey kits what you doing." she asked. "is it a game can I play?" she asked she was soo bored.

"Hi Spottedpaw! We're racing to that rock over there. Wanna join in?" Dovekit said sweetly, before adding, "If you can keep up," in a snarl.

"your on." she said laughing then got in line with them.

Dovekit bunched up her legs, preparing for the race that she was confident she would win. "You ready, Birchkit?" she asked, adressing the fluffy kit next to her.

Crowkit woke up from he's nap and looked at them "What are you doing?" he said. He stood up and stretched.

Dovekit stood up from her preparing position and walked over to crowkit. "Hey there, Crowkit," she purred, glad to have another playmate. "We're racing, come join in!" She padded back to in between Birchkit and Spottedpaw and looked back at Crowkit, beckoning with her tail for him to join them.

He looked at them for a little while before he went over to them "Fine, but get ready to lose" he said and smiled friendly.

Dovekit rolled her eyes and snorted."Right back at you, flea-brain."

He looked at her "Hey! Im not a flea-brain!" he growled quietly and mumbled "Stupid mouse-brain"

Dovekit laughed lightheartedly. "Mousebrain, huh? Very creative."

He giggeld a little "Yeah I know. Well well are we gonna race or not?". He looked at them and made himself ready to run.

Dovekit got ready to run as well. "Ready everyone?" she said, looking around at the others.
