Songkit's boredom (open)

Songkit padded from the nursery quietly. The silver and grey kit looking around quietly. She didn't have much to do since her friend Silverkit had become and apprentice. The she kit sat down quietly and her ice blue eyes looked around.

Petalpaw trotted from the apprentices den, proud of that morning's hunt. Her two fellow apprentices and she had caught enough prey to feed all the warriors, elders, the leader, and the deputy. Now was meal time for the apprentices!

In her excitement, Petalpaw found herself bouncing like a maniac over to the freshkill pile. Her belly was yowling more than ever, and her mouth watered dramatically as her scent glands picked up the smell of prey. She grabbed a piece of prey from the freshkill pile, and turned to go to the apprentice den stump. That was when she saw the kit.

It was white and fluffy, and so cute Petalpaw couldn't hide a smile. She padded over to the kit, the freshkill still in her mouth, and sat down beside the nursery kit. "Hello! I'm Petalpaw.. You seem kind of bored. Once I've finished this piece of prey, we can play together if you want." She looked hopefully at the kit, missing the fun feeling of playing as a kit. Even as a young apprentice, you didn't get to play as much as you would if you were still a kit.

Songkit's blue eyes watched as three apprentices came in carrying prey. The fluffy silver and gray kit watched before she saw one begin to bounce about. She blinked and smiled a bit. Soon enough the apprentice that had been bouncing came over to her and introduced herself as Petalpaw. Songkit smiled and mewed" my name's Songkit " she mewed and then when she offered to play Songkit seemed to brighten a bit " ok sure " she mewed happily.

Petalpaw smiled. "Great!" she mewed. She leaned down and took a large but neat bite out of her prey. She had the habit of doing everything neatly, but that never slowed her down; in a moment she was done with her prey. She buried the bones and patted the ground over it, wanting Songkit's and her play space to be safe and without lumps.

"Okay, so, what do you want to play?" she asked excitedly, her tail lashing with anticipation of a game.

Songkit watched her quietly before the question of what game came out. Quietly she thought for a moment and then mewed"mossball? "She asked smiling a bit looking at Petalpaw.

Petalpaw grinned. "Sure!" she purred. "I'll go grab some from the medicine cat's den.." She dashed off and tiptoed into the medicine cats den. She clawed a bit of moss into a ball, and kicked it playfully out of the den. She raced after it and leaped on top of it, letting out a yowl of satisfaction as the mossball crumpled underneath her. She remade the moss into a ball and tossed it happily to Songkit.

Songkit watched smiling before the mossball was tossed to her. Quietly the she kit leapt to catch it only to miss but then she chased after it and batted it back.

Dreamkit shoved her head outside of the nursery.
"Can I join in?" she mewed thoughtfully.

Songkit blinked then smiled " sure " she mewed.

Petalpaw nodded. "Of course!" She hooked a claw on the moss ball and flung it over to Dreamkit. "Come on, Dreamkit, jump as high as you can! Grab it! Give it all you got!" she encouraged excitedly, her tail lashing with anticipation.

Dreamkit looked around wearily then jumped up. She missed it by jumping to low. She hit the ground and sprawled on her back

Petalpaw gasped in surprise. "Dreamkit, are you all right?" she asked worriedly.

Songkit blinked in surprise and went over to Dreamkit "are you alright?"she asked.

Petalpaw followed Songkit and leaned down to give Dreamkit a gentle lick on the nose. "How are you feeling?" she asked anxiously.

Up high in a tree above camp sat Silverpaw, resting quietly as her friends played below her. I must be doing a very good job, She thought, If they cannot see me... The apprentice smirked in satisfaction as she climbed higher up the tree. All at once, she saw the beautiful sun-high sky, the snow-like white clouds gathering together, and the swift yet not so smart birds flying through all of it. Silverpaw gazed at it all for quite a bit before finding the perfect spot to rest, right where she could see the beautiful scenery in a perfect view. What a generous gift ThunderClan gave to me...
