Kindlepaw's assessment ((CLOSED))

Hazefur waited for her daughter by the camp's entrance, it was about time she had assessed her on her knowledge. The young warrior sat peacefully at the edge of camp as she waited, oh, they grow up so fast. She thought, a little sad that she would be dispersing into the clan more, she probably wouldn't be around as much and she would be involved with her own things.

Either way, Hazefur was content and more than happy to see Kindlepaw growing up and learning so fast.

Per usual, Kindlepaw woke up with the sun. Stretching her long, slender legs, the apprentice made her way to the camp entrance to see Hazefur. Yawning, she gave a slight dip of her head to her mother, assuming they were going out for some training. "Training?" the she-cat asked although she already knew he answer. Usually, she would've been ecstatic to go on a patrol, but she was still a bit down from the fight that she had with Quailpaw and Smokepelt. Hopefully she'd be able to cheer up a little with Hazefur.

Hazefur frowned at the seemly lower energy Kindlepaw seemed to possess, but she shook off the feeling, once they were out in the territory the warrior guessed should would be cheery once more. "Not just any training, today's your assessment!" She chirped, hoping it would excite her apprentice.

"Come on, let's head out." She mewed in an even tone then turned and pushed her way through the gorse tunnel that lead out into the territory.

Her assessment? Was she really that close to becoming a warrior? Perking up a little bit at the thought of ranking up, Kindlepaw followed her mother out of camp, trying to push her downcast thoughts to the back of her mind, though she didn't have much luck. "What are we going to do first?" the apprentice asked, starting to regain her former peppiness.

"We'll do some hunting first," Hazefur mewed as she exited the camp, padding out into the beautiful open territory of WindClan.

The pair padded onward, until the young warrior paused and stopped to look back at the oddly quiet Kindlepaw. "I'll set you on your own here, but don't forget I'll be keeping an eye on you." She reminded, then continued. "I want to see you catch a hare, pick up anything else you see though."

Listening to Hazefur, Kindlepaw gave a nod at the instructions. She'd be a warrior soon and just the thought of ranking up sent a shiver down her spine. A warrior... how exciting! But would Smokepelt notice her more or still care about Ryepaw more than anyone? The answer to her question was pretty obvious and laying her ears flat on her head, she turned away from her mother and made her way further into the territory.

After a little bit of searching for any signs of prey, the apprentice caught the scent of a hare and lowered herself to the ground, spotting the scrawny rabbit. Moving slowly and making sure not to alert it of her presence, Kindlepaw stopped just a little less than a foxlength away from it and waited. Just a little longer...

Springing out from where she hid in the tall grass, Kindlepaw lept towards the piece of prey, but failed in catching it. Letting out an angry huff, the she-cat moved onward, looking for any other possible prey.

Hazefur watched as her daughter stalked away, it seemed she still wasn't herself. She let out a sigh and after a moment's pause, followed after her to keep tabs on whats he was up to.

Finding another rabbit, Kindlepaw sprung towards it and failed, again. What in StarClan's name was wrong with her (cough) the feking hunting system)? Sighing, she turned around and heading in another direction, searching for more prey.

Hazefur crept quietly along at a distance, keeping a close eye on Kindlepaw's actions. She had missed again, what was with her today? Her daughter wasn't usually like this.

Kindlepaw crouched low, jumped at a scrawny rabbit, and missed again, starting to become more angry at how the day's hunting had been going.

Once again, the apprentice missed a piece of prey and wondered how long it would take before she would actually catch something.
