A Cloudy Patrol [Closed]

Lionspark was nervous - having an apprentice. She had never had one before and, well, while Bramblefrost had been a great mentor to her in the training department, she kinda felt like he had failed everywhere else. They had clashed so often that she was happy she didn't have him looming over her to point out every mistake she made like he knew better. She sighed before she glanced around the camp for Cloudpaw. She had decided to take her on a patrol to go hunting. Perhaps they would check the borders as well just in case any of the other Clans were making moves for more land or just stirring up trouble in general. She sighed with a shake of her head, learning that being a warrior wasn't quite the freedom she had imagined.

Cloudpaw padded over and looked at Lionspark for an explanation for what they're doing.

Stonepaw padded over and sat down beside his sister. He asked if he could go with them on the patrol.

Rockpaw padded up from the apprentice's den, nose turned up as he did so. "I see you're starting a patrol Lionspark, may I come?" Rockpaw spoke boldly, the training he was receiving making his body leaner and stronger, he could almost be as fast as a Windclan cat if he tried hard enough.

Lionspark smiled when she saw Cloudpaw padding over to her, nodding slightly at the she-cat but blinked when Stonepaw joined as well. For a second, she was left unsure what to say before she grinned softly. Was Stonepaw trying to avoid Bramblefrost? She wouldn't blame the tom and nodded when he asked to join. "Of course," she purred seeing no trouble with Stonepaw tagging along. Then another voice spoke up and she turned to see Rockpaw walking over. This was more of a surprise - Rockpaw was the apprentice of Darkstar herself but she simply nodded to him as well. "Of course Rockpaw," she said as she got to her paws before turning with a flicker of her tail before heading off into the territory. "Come along, we are going to explore the borders and then we will try to do some hunting if we have the time."

Cloudpaw got up and followed.

Stonepaw followed as well.

Rockpaw was a cat of few words, scrutinizing the other two apprentices briefly and turning away to look down upon Lionspark. He was a tall apprentice after all, he practically loomed over every cat except for Darkstar. His mentor was a very big cat and he had heard from Darkstar herself that her mother was even bigger, that almost made his paws shake.  "All of the borders?" Rockpaw asked Lionspark, tilting his head as he kept his tail high in the air and straight.

While she was fine with both Cloudpaw and Stonepaw's silence, Lionspark found herself relieved that Rockpaw was speaking - it made this whole thing a little less nerve wracking, even if he wasn't saying much. She paused at his question, noting that it would take a long time to explore all of them so she shook her head. "No, only RiverClan and SkyClan. We always need to worry about territory with SkyClan and with the river frozen, our border with RiverClan isn't as safe as it once was." She did suppose that their border with RiverClan was never safe - as those fish-brained cats was fine with crossing the river but now it was easier for them to attack and retreat as long as the ice remained solid. Tasting the air, she found they were coming up to the river. Her eyes flickered to the two siblings. "Cloudpaw, Stonepaw," she said with a flicker of her tail. "What do you two smell?" She knew it was important for the two of them to learn the other cat's scents. She would have included Rockpaw if he hadn't already been to a gathering and knew each of the Clan's scents already.
