More for WC [Birth Topic]

Willowwhisker was in the nursery, minding her own business, when a large ripple of pain went through her. At first, she thought maybe it was just a hard kick, but when another one came, she knew what was happening. The kits were coming."THISTLEFALL! CINDERCLOUD!" she closed her eyes and clenched her paws, the pain unbearable, as she waited for the cats she called to arrive.

Thistlefall darted into the nursery as soon as he heard his name. "Willowhisker?" He mewed, quickly realizing the kits must be on the way.

A worried expression clouded over Thistlefall, Cindercloud was terribly busy with Smokepelt, and on top of that the rest of the injured cats. He glanced outside the den before moving closer to Willowshisker. "I don't think Cindercloud will make it in time." He breathed, fear rolling off his tongue.

Cloudkit's tiny mouth opened wide as he was pushed into the world, his eyes still sealed shut, oblivious to the towering forms of his parents as he sucked in his first raspy breath. Continuing to squirm about unwittingly, he opened his jaws again to wail loudly- unable to find a source of warmth or milk.

Thistlefall awed at the newborn kit, speechless. He couldn't really do much other than stand there and watch.

Willowwhisker smiled at the small kit and glanced up at Thistlefall when more pain came. Carrying on her 'routine' of biting down the stick and closing her eyes. She opened her eyes, only for more pain straight afterward. She let out one more push and then opened her eyes to three little kits at her belly. Looking at the tiny little ball of pure white fluff, she looked at Thistlefall and came up with a name."Cloudkit."  The tiny kits mewed slightly and she started to purr, wanting to sleep but stayed awake for the sake of the kits and Thistlefall. The next kit was a mixture of both herself and Thistlefall, with her white markings and his blue eyes and gray stripes."Mintkit." The final kit was similar to neither Her or her mate, and she thought that maybe it was from her bloodline. After all, she knew nothing about her parents, and she had no idea what they looked like. She had a feeling that it did come from her bloodline, but she didn't know."Hmm, maybe, Shinekit?" With a questioning tone, she flicked her tail hoping for Thistlefall to come over. She knew that it would be worth the pain, and that it was.

"They're all beautiful names." Thistlefall purred, inching closer to Willowwhisker and licking her forehead in a comforting way, understanding how much pain she must have just gone through.

Mintkit meowed as he  squirmed around near his mothers belly, while Shinekit laid tucked up as close to his mother as he could get, soaking in as much of his mothers warmth and smell as possible. Mintkit could smell his mother and smell the milk but he could not see them because his eyes were still sealed tightly closed.

Willowwhisker faded to sleep with Thistlefall licking her head and kits at her belly. She purred every time she looked at the kits, and she bubbled over with excitement when all of the pain as gone.
