| Smokepelt followed the apprentice in silence. At first she was doing fine but soon got distracted with prey and when she came back, he gave her a stern look. "Very good, but I must have you know, never get distracted on a patrol, even if there is prey. That is when other clans will take advantage of you," he reminded her calmly, hoping she was good at learning from her mistakes as she was a hunter. |

| Thistlepaw remained quite, without much to say. He did though, do what he was supposed to do on a patrol, keep his eyes, ears, and nose open for anything off. There was nothing out of the ordinary.
He looked forward at Willowpaw, realizing she had darted off for prey again, even after Smokepelt had told her to focus on patrolling and not hunting. He couldn't help but chuckle with amusement. The younger apprentices were always so eager to please their mentors and any other older cat really. Thankfully for him, he was beginning to grow out of that bad habit, considering he was almost a warrior. |

| Glad that his apprentices were doing so well with patrol, Smokepelt thought it'd be a good time to wrap things up. "Well Willowpaw, you did great today and I'd say you're ready to become a warrior," the tom meowed with a smile, looking to Thistlepaw who was also ready to become a warrior. "Go grab your prey and let's head back to camp," he added, turning towards camp. He always loved seeing apprentices become warriors and no matter how down in the dumps he was, seeing the clan grow always lifted his spirits. |

| Thistlepaw smiled back at his mentor, glad to hear Willowpaw did well. Then, turning to Willowpaw, he answered her question. "Well, I'm not too sure, Smokepelt will mention my training to Ashstar soon, so any time from now really." He said happily. |
