Days of Wind

Sprucepaw glanced up.It looked like the others were ready to hunt.He got to his feet giving his dark pelt a lick.Sprucepaw.padded forward scenting the air with every pawstep.

Hearing his sister he called. "I'm gonna catch more!" Duskpaw got up and set the opposite way looking for some kind of prey. Crow! he thought as the black shape appeared from behind a rock. "Ive got to get this one!" he whispered to himself as he checked the wind and made his way silently across the grass and pounced on the bird killing it with a swift blow to the neck. "Thank you StarClan for this gift." he prayed burying his fresh-kill he headed opposite of camp hoping for more prey.

Rippedpaw sighed. She sure was an interesting cat. He was just glad she had perked up from the bitter attitude she had at the beginning of the day. The black and white apprentice hoped things would stay this way. Heatherstripe and him got along really well. He loved his mentor and couldn't see why him and her daughter wouldn't be able to get along just as well. His paws carried him back over towards the other apprentices and he scented the air for prey.

Willowpaw giggled at the sight of all of her fellow apprentices and decided to have a little fun too. Don't think I'm gonna let all of you get all of the fun! She pounced on Rippedpaw hoping to spark some excitement.

"Get off, Willowpaw, we have hunting to do," Rippedpaw grumbled lightly. The tom had never been much for playing, but apparently some of his denmates hadn't grown out of it.

Spottedpaw smirked at Sprucepaw, flicking her ear. She sniffed the chilly air for prey, shivering a bit at the chilly breeze.

Sprucepaw sighed,the prey around here was long gone."The prey's all probably long gone...he meowed."We should go look somewhere else and maybe be more quiet."The tom laughed,he doubted they could be much quieter.

"Maybe we should split up?" Rippedpaw suggested,"The group is a little big. We could go off in pairs or something".

"[bYeahh,that sounds good.[/b]" Sprucepaw meowed.

"Sound like at least some one has a good idea." Robinpaw said as her head popped out of some rather long grass "Besides you're all incredibly loud except for Ripedpaw he's the only one with a lick of sense around here." her tail flicked as if to prove her point

(Shouldn't we do the hunting in WindClan Territory?)

"excuse me?I'm quiet..." he trailed off.Sprucepaw wasn't really quiet,he'd just lied.To him that wasn't a big deal,to the others maybe."I'm as quiet as a mouse!"he meowed jokingly."I guess we should pair up then,"
