A Spark In The Sand [CLOSED]

Emberkit stretched, her bright fur blindingly bright in the morning sun. Her pink tongue swiped once, quickly around her muzzle.
Sand tickled her white underbelly, and she shook out her pelt happily, her small claws flexing slightly.
"Today is a good day!" she announced to no one in particular, and no one in particular bothered to look at her.
One ear flattened slightly, she trotted over to the Prey Pile and latched her teeth into a freshly-killed magpie that was twice her size, dragging it over near the medicine den and dropping it in the sand. A puff of yellow fwooshed around the dead, black-and-white bird.  A scrap of moss was still hanging from above her eye, but Emberkit either didn't notice or didn't care as she sat down to eat the bird alone.

Mistywater smiled as she walked out of the nursery. She looked at Emberkit and padded over "Enjoying your bird?" she asked with a purr. She felt happy to be around her kit, even if she were adopted, she still loved Emberkit, in fact, she reminded Mistywater of Emberfall, Blacktwig's mate.

The small russet kit grinned a lopsided grin up at MistyWater.
"Yep!" she chirped, the scrap of moss holding on by a thread before falling off onto her paw. "D'ya want some?" she pushed the half-eaten bird a little way over to the long-haired queen. "I don't think I can finish it all."
Her wide, pale brown eyes blinked up at her adopted mother innocently. "Besides, I wanna go play with Lightningkit and Blazekit."

OOC: Is Snowkit alive? She isn't yet, right?

Blacktwig jumped over a mossy stone that smoothly dug into the ground. The tom landed in front of the two with a grin. "Hey, guys." The tomcat meowed, glancing at his mother and adopted sister. He would always be one of the oldest, wouldn't he? He took a seat on the yellowish sand.

"Hey, Blacktwig," the kit mewed lightly, smiling innocently, before scooting closer to the older tom, her dusty eyes mischievous.

"Listen, I've never been out of camp, and all the other kits have, and they always boast about it 'n stuff…" she muttered quickly in his darker ear, feeling her voice get high-pitched. "And I don't get to, and I'll be an apprentice in a few moons, anyway…" Ember waved her tail indignantly. "Please? You can have the rest of my magpie," she added quickly, before he could reply, shoving the half-eaten bird with sand now settled in most of it's insides towards him. "Please."She begged once more, desperate.

OOC: Sorry to be all staff-like and stuff, but just to tell you for the future, you can't control other peoples characters like you had just done with Mistywater looking down at her paws. You can edit your post if you'd like ^^

Mistywater shook her head "No thank you, but thank you, Emberkit" she mewed, pushing it back over to the she-kit. She looked at Blacktwig "Hey" she mewed.

OOC: Oops! I'll fix that, sorry!

Blacktwig nodded to the silver she-cat that mothered him. "Hey, Mistywater," Blacktwig purred, before looking down at Emberkit, the small, shiny, red-and-brown kit scuffling at his paws. "I'm sorry, Emberkit," Blacktwig mewed to the she-kit, "but I don't think you can leave the camp until you're an apprentice. The other kits are breaking the rules," the black, speckled tawny-and-white tomcat explained to her.

The kit huffed, plopping down on her rump and glaring up at her adopted brother, retorting back, "Fine, you piece of…of frog dung!"
She was actually rather proud of this, Emberkit thought arrogantly, as she puffed out her fiery fur. She had made the insult up all by herself a few sunsets ago, and this was the first time she'd actually gotten to use it.
"So…there!" she sat down in a puff of sand next to MistyWater and her eyes immediately began to water from the dust.

Blacktwig tilted his ears at his sister's sensitivity. He didn't seem taken aback at all, he just stared down at her, blinking. Wow. Was truly all the tomcat could think. He didn't even look at the small kit, just shrugged and sat back.

Lightningkit bounded over seeing Emberkit. "Hey Emberkit- What's wrong?" The light gray tom meowed tilting his head with his pale yellow eyes on his friend.

Blazekit bounded after his brother, the tom's mostly white fur was light brown from dust and his dark gray fur was coated in some dust. The tom shook his fur out and then sneezed when he got dust up his nose. The tom smiled sheepishly.

Mistywater licked Emberkit's head "We don't speak to our brother like that Emberkit" she mewed "Why don't you say sorry?" she asked "Then you can go and play with Blazekit and Lightningkit" she mewed, looking over to Blacktwig with a nod.

Ember kit looked her brother up and down disdainfully.
"I'm sorry for stating the truth," the small she-kit mewed proudly, grinning at the queen behind her playfully before waving her tail in greeting to the two twin toms before her.
"Hey, guys!" she purred, eyes wide with excitement. "Wanna go play mossball?"
And Emberkit flounced off towards the nursery to look for moss, her striped orange tail held straight up in the air, the white tail-tip falling up and down as she bounced across camp.

"And, I'm sorry for stating the rules," Blacktwig retorted, in a somewhat gentler tone. He knew kits could be a pawful, and as he watched the tabby brown-and-white she-kit before him, he was reminded of his daughter, Mottledpaw's, days as a kit. She had always been so excitable. The perfect mirror of his newest sister, Emberkit. And to think that one day he might even see her warrior ceremony! Wasn't that a thought.

Lightingkit nodded and followed after the she cat.

Blazekit scrambled after his brother and blinked at a tortoiseshell she cat padded out of the den.

Mothkit padded out and over to her father. The she cat was pretty big now and didn't know why she still wasn't an apprentice. Her sister was. "Hi dad!!" She me owed flicking her tail in greeting to her grandmother.
