A Spark Of Light [Training topic][Closed]

It had been raining most of the morning but now the sun where appering and the rain faded. Wildstrike slowly got up and walked over to the apprentice den, the ground under him where muddy but he didn't mind it like some other cats did. He stuck his head inside the apprentice den and looked around for his apprentice "Sparkpaw training starts now, I'll be waiting by the camp entrance" he meowed as he caught sight of the young apprentice.

Once he where sure the she-cat had heard him he padded over towards the camp entrance. One his way he picked up a small mouse from te fresh-kill pile. He sat down by the entrance and quickly swallowed the mouse as he waited for Sparkpaw.

Sparkpaw jumped up and followed close behind Wildstrike. "I'm definitely ready," She said.

"Good" he purred, happy to see that she was ready to start.
He padded out of camp towards the Deep Marshes. He looked back at her "We'll start out training at the Deep Marshes, it might be more muddy than usally since it has been raining so hopefully you don't mind getting you'r fur dirty" he said as he keept a steady pace through the forest.

Sparkpaw's tail twitched. "Of- Of course not. We do- We live in the m- marshes, don't w- we?" She pointed out.

"Well yes, but the Deep Marshes are even muddier than any other part of our territory" he replied her.

As they reached the Deep Marshes he turned towards Sparkpaw "First we'll start with the hunting and then we'll do some battle training later if the hunting doesn't take to much time. So start of by getting into a hunting crouch" he told her.

Sparkpaw nodded and gave her best hunting crouch- hunched, ready to pounce.

He studied the apprenticed hunting crouch "Lower both you head and tail and bring you'r back paws closer" he told her, wanting it to be perfect before the contiued.

Sparkpaw made a mental note to practice it later, following his directions.

"Perfect! Keep in mind that you should be as close to the ground as possible, but still not touching it. Now, taste the air see if you can catch the scent of any pery around here" he meowed.

Sparkkit smelled, trying to distinguish the smells. "I smell... frog."

Wildstrike sniffed the air and nodded "That's right, try catching it now and remember, try to stay as close to the ground as possible, frog's can be quite hard to catch, they are fast to jump away if they see or hear you and they are slippery" he told her. He then followed her with his gaze waiting for her to try catching it. He didn't expect her to catch a piece of prey on her first try but what do you know, she might suprice him.

Sparkpaw nodded and began to track it. However, her legs were not tucked in, so she leaped and fell slightly short. "Ah frog dung," she murmured under get breath.
