We Must Put Our Differences Away (closed for Tawny, Twitch, Thinny and Dimmeh)

Blacktwig did so, feeling his pelt grow hot with embarrassment that an apprentice had to help him. He said nothing as he slipped out of the cage, not bragging, but giving a small nod to Eaglepaw. "Alright," he muttered, trotting up to Flamepaw's cage.

OOC: Yeah, let's wait.

Cherrypaw listened to the argueing cats with a quiet annoyance. Why couldn't their shut up and let her think already? Then her ears pricked as she heard the cats talk about how Eaglepaw, the ShadowClan apprentice had escaped the cage, and she pushed herself up, looking hopeful with her blind eyes. "You escaped!" she exclaimed and pushed herself into the grates, to call any escaped cat into her aid as well. "This is good, anything tk get away from the Two-legs! If we slip away, we might find a place to curl up by night-time." 

"Don't get your hopes up," Blacktwig grunted, as the shackles of Flamepaw's cage came loose. He still didn't recognize his flame-pelted son. He stood up straight, joints aching from being crumpled up in the cage. "Night is near already, and we need to get out of here as soon as we can." Blacktwig glanced over his shoulder at the painted sky, streaks of purple and orange blending and twirling like serpentine sky creatures. Blacktwig blinked annoyedly as the setting sun shone its rays into the tomcat's purplish-blue eyes. He turned to Eaglepaw as he backed away from his son, Flamepaw's, cage, to let him through. His paws touched the ground to the side as he shifted to let the WindClan tom through, expecting a not-so-nice greeting. He couldn't even consider how much Flamepaw had grown due to his own memory.

Blacktwig drew nearer to Cherrypaw's cage, as he waited for Eaglepaw to let Tawnystorm through. He glanced towards the cage, knowing how much the tawny she-cat disliked ThunderClan. He pawed at the blind she-cat's cage, finally nipping the lock and attempting to let the apprentice free. It was still a little bit tight, so he worked at it until Cherrypaw could pad out freely.

Eaglepaw padded over to Tawnystorm, she looked up at her snarling "I shouldn't let you free but I have to" she growled as she clawed at the lock and soon lifted up, signaling Tawnystorm to push through. Eaglepaw turned back to Blacktwig, giving him an 'I'm sorry for how I acted' look with guilt shining in her eyes. She was only an apprentice, she didn't know what side she was on right now.

Flamepaw did exit the cage as soon as he was set free, but he stayed close to it instead of wandering out and about. He didn't feel comfortable in the presence of the other Clan cats. He knew none of them.
"Why did it have to be me that was stuck in this situation with these strangers?" He grumbled, a growl rising in his throat. Of course, he still couldn't tell that Blacktwig was his father, he couldn't recognize him.

(Short post. today's been rough, RIP my muse.)

Blacktwig saw the look that Eaglepaw gave him. He returned it with one of his own, when the other cats weren't looking. He glanced at Flamepaw for a moment. Something about the WindClan tomcat reminded him of something. He turned away before he could properly remember, but as he walked forwards to stand further away from the cats, he remembered Flamepaw as Flamekit, his son. He blinked with disbelief, but he didn't say anything. He just looked shocked for a moment, before regaining composure.

"Thank you," Tawnystorm mumbled reluctantly. "Now, tell me, how in StarClan are we going to get back to the forest?"

Eaglepaw shrugged "Maybe try to jump off of this thing?" she asked "There's got to be a way out" she mewed "How did we get in? There has to be a latch like there was on the cages" she mewed as she searched around in the back on the monster for a latch that she could open up and set free, since that seemed to be her specialty so far.

Blacktwig blinked and looked around, trying not to seem like a lost fox cub. The tom finally nosed his way to a bundle of seeds. "Ugh. What are these?" He sniffed, stepping back. He made sure not to make any noise. "Looks like a distraction, but who cares." He said, although he was right; it could be a useful distraction that aided the cats in their escape.

"Urgh, looks like kittypet food," Tawnystorm grumbled. "I'm not eating that. " She paced around their enclosure, trying to think of an escape plan. Come on, Tawnystorm! You've got a brain, use it!

"When'd I say we'd eat it?" Asked Blacktwig with disgust, and although his tone was normal, it wasn't like this was a gathering. He stepped back, trying to think before Twolegs came.

Eaglepaw spotted a silver latch, like the one they have on the cage. Though it was kind of different, more like a different shape and it seemed to need to be handled a different way "I found it!" she mewed as she turned her head over to looked at the rest of the cats. She turned back and tugged at the latch. It didn't open. She was too little to open it. She peaked back over "But I can't open it!" she hissed with anger.

"'Course she found it," Blacktwig grumbled to himself. The larger tom shouldered his way forwards, and pushed up the latch desperately with his nose. His eyes then blinked open from being squeezed shut with effort. "I don't think I can open it." Blacktwig gasped at last, staggering backwards wearing a frown.

(Eaglepaw is so talented. That and I seriously love this baby and she must be the one to find everything >:D)

Eaglepaw turned around "Well, we need more people, come on!" she mewed as she turned to Blacktwig. She did actually feel like most of these cats were her friends, most at least.

Cherrypaw padded out of the cage as Blacktwig opened it, nodding in thanks, yet awkwardly, because of her blindness, nodding in the wrong direction, he followed the cats and soon was next to Eaglepaw at the lock. She sniffed it, trying to make out a shape or something grab it by. She ended up tugging at it with her full force besides the ShadowClan apprentice.
