May's Gathering 2016

Flashstorm looked around boredly. Who was there to talk to at a time like this?

Cedarfur and Smokepelt padded into the gathering, not really in the best of moods. It felt really weird having to leave Icestorm back at camp, and both toms didn't like it. Usually Cedarfur liked to mingle and socialize, but the tall tom just followed his nephew to the edge of camp and sat down. Letting out a sigh, he watched Ashwing talk to some cats and wondered how she was dealing with all of this. Even if she was sad or scared, she did a good job at hiding it.

Gentlenose padded into the gathering, following her kits. She didn't make light conversation like Blizzardpaw and Sedgepaw did, but was looking around for Jayflight instead.

Honeypaw and Nightpaw cast glaces at each other when Windclan came into the clearing.

Ghostpelt flicked her tail and looked around.

Jayflight scented Gentlenose, he wanted to call out her name but, another Clan cat would notice. Instead he just flicked his tail in hope of her finding him as he stood up.

Blizzardpaw smiled, ShadowClan, uh? That was so cool! “We’re ThunderClan!” She purred, meeting cats of other clans was the main reason of why she wanted to come so badly and now she finally was doing it! “Is this your first gathering? I mean, it’s our first time here, so I’m curious and…” She looked around, looking at the cats around them “…you know why everyone looks so uneasy? Is this normal?”.

Frecklepaw grinned at Blizzardpaw's enthusiasm, but frowned uneasily at the last question. "I don't know. I, um, don't think it's normal... It's my first Gathering, so I really wouldn't know."

Blizzardpaw nodded and shuffled her paws a bit, the feeling that something really bad was going on didn’t go away. It was like if an invisible and intangible enemy was holding on to her with sharp claws, and regardless of how much she tried to shake it off it wouldn’t let go. The optimistic cat couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable with this, negative feeling were far from her comfort zone “I just hope that everything ends well...” She looked at the leaders standing on the Great Rock, wondering what was taking them so long.

"This is not normal," Wildfang mewed to Blizzardpaw and Frecklepaw. She squared his shoulders and stared at the leaders with a calm gaze.

Jayflight grinned as he heard a small conversation about something not normal, though, he knew it was Blizzardpaw bring up the topic, he wanted to explain but he just couldn't, he didn't want to be called Dad in front of two cats who would probably be very confused, so he just stayed there and waited for Gentlenose to join him, he was happy that the Dark Forest was finally able to enter and defeat StarClan for good, he never believed in StarClan anyways, always thought it was a joke.

Crowstar looked around, noting that all of the leaders were there. Well time to get this thing started. "Skyclan is fairing well these moons. We have many new kits, and apprentices in our clan. We have plenty of prey. I hope the other clans are fairing as well as we are." The skyclan leader said, and then stepped back to let the other leader's speak.

Cinnamonpaw slipped into the clearing, hoping they would'nt notice her lateness. Not that it mattered anyway, she just didn't want people to suspect her for anything just yet. (sorry semi-rusty at roleplaying).

Ashwing stepped up next, trying to disguise her nervousness. "WindClan has also been faring well. The rabbits are running swift, but not too swift to catch. We have more kits and apprentices than we can count, and have named many new warriors." She stepped back, waiting for one of the other leaders.

Before any other leader could stand up, a flash of lightning followed by a boom of thunder shook the Fourtrees. The bright light arched above in the clouds that filled the night sky. A rush of wind passed through the trees who shook with the sudden gale force. Suddenly, it was silent. Ominously, no sound was made for a few long moments. As if he had been there for the longest time, a cat stood at the top of the rock, head held proudly. This was not a cat that many had seen before. Morningstar. The tom was bigger than the other leaders, yellow eyes flashing in the small light.

"It has been a long time since I have stood here." His low voice rumbled through the clearing, a growl deep in his throat. "StarClan used to watch over the clans," There was a pause as he assessed the crowd. "yet now they have abandoned you. StarClan was not strong enough."

"But we are."

"Join us. Not only will you protect your clan, but the power you will achieve will be beyond your reckoning." The tom's voice was clear and strong, looking very confident. This was the clans' last chance. Would the cats make the best out of the offer he was giving them?

Watching in horror as a bolt of lightning struck the sky, Antdrop couldn't believe his eyes. Who in the world is this cat? Fur bristling and teeth bared, he stood up in a defensive stance. And what does he mean "StarClan was not strong enough? Fear and anger pricked at the tom's fur, but he stayed quiet for the time being.

An earsplitting crack of thunder engulfed the sky as a big cat appeared, standing above the clan leaders. What in StarClan's name... Looking up at the large cat, Cedarfur was surprised when he said something about StarClan. Being an outgoing tom, Cedarfur stood up, his gaze not leaving the strange cat. "What do you mean we'll achieve power?" he yowled. Honestly, the tall tom had no idea what was going on, but it didn't look good. The way the other cat held his head proudly and spoke made him sure that what was about to happen wasn't going to be good.
