Open Patrol!

Sablefur tried keeping her composure. If she said anything to offend the rivaling cats, StarClan knows what would happen. However, the rogues gave different answers. She narrowed her eyes suspiciously, but kept her voice calm. "If you've come here to observe us, you can do so on your side of the border." She nodded past Mystery toward a far-off barn. Her fur bristled at Blizzard's comment of doing nothing wrong to WindClan. No, nothing, aside from the murder of one of our apprentices. Sablefur kept her cold words back. She mulled over the situation, eyeing each rogue. Would they be able to take these outsiders if things got bad? "If you're here to pass through, we wouldn't mind escorting you." The deputy stood next to Cobaltfire, who seemed to be trying to take initiative.

Blizzard frowned. "If that is your wish, okay."

"Do you want to split up and escort them off the territory and have the others continue the patrol?" Cobaltfire turned to Sablefur and asked in a low voice. She was glad that Sablefur was there to help her keep things civil, as she was unsure if she alone could keep everything under control.

Arabesque continued to watch. It seemed as if the blue-gray she-cat and the dark brown she-cat were managing to keep things civil.
Oh, what a shame. I'd like to rip some Clan fur. I was looking forward to knocking them down a few pegs. she thought, flexing her claws. She sheathed them again, and tucked her paws underneath her. If no battle came to fruition, she'd simply wait for another time.

Mystery looked to the border the pretty clan cat had indicated, "Can't I walk with you for a bit? I mean no harm, just my curiosity is killing me!" His dark blue eyes pleaded, he was by clan codes of apprentice age but being a rouge he had no opportunities to learn other than from observing others.

Icestorm gave a low hiss under his breath but flattened his fur. Stupid rouges ruined our hunting patrol. He wants to train his son but it would have to wait.

Smokepaw started to get nervous and barred his teeth, getting worked up and wanting to claw something or someone.

OOC- i noticed my son died! XD dont actually hate rouge btw ;D

Blizzard turned, flicking his tail aginst Eagle's mouth to keep him quiet.

Ooc: Really bad post, LOL

Wolftrot noticed Smokepaw getting nervous and starting to act hostile. He brushed his tail over Smokepaw's back, and whispered, "Don't worry. Cobaltfire and Sablefur have this under control."

At the back of the patrol, Lightfoot could see Icestorm getting angry. He wasn't helping the situation, and even the younger warrior's son Smokepaw was getting restless. The tall white tom shrugged it off, though; the two she-cats were diffusing the problem with admirable skill. He took note of Wolftrot's excellent mentoring abilities in his attempt to calm Smokepaw. It was a very capable group, and Lightfoot trusted them all to handle themselves in this confrontation. Then the youngest one spoke again, and the white warrior was sure more trouble was going to erupt.

Sablefur hesitated. A rogue wanting to watch a border patrol? What an odd request. She mulled over  Cobaltfire's suggestion. It was the best idea, in her opinion. If the rogues stayed any longer, a battle could break out. She faced Mystery and the others. "I'm afraid you're not permitted to wander much farther into our territory. Lightfoot and I will escort your group." The deputy nodded back at Lightfoot for him to accompany her. Cobaltfire would have no trouble leading the patrol by himself.

Mystery whimpered like any young cat would, "But I'm not with them my nest is that way! Why can't I? I haven't been rude I'll be very good you won't notice me!" He squeaked, his nubby tail bobbing, as he kneaded the ground he looked up using his best kit eyes. Something he had learned from the kittypets who he lived nearby too.

He smiled broadly at the thought of being asked to do something with the deputy. Lightfoot nudged his way gently to Sablefur's side just in time to hear the youngling whimpering and he sighed. "Listen, please. We have a code that requires us to follow its rules. One of the rules tells us not to let others on our territory. You can only be here if you're in WindClan, and you aren't in WindClan. So, how about we take you home and you can tell your parents about how you got to meet Clan cats? We can answer questions you might have on the way back to your nest." The tall tom glanced sideways at Sablefur. Was he handling this right? He hoped so. He didn't want to look useless in front of someone as respectable as the deputy.

Ooc- cough cough icestorm is leading the patrol (not colbaltfire) but its ok XD

Icestorm gave a glare at the rouges and turned towards his son and Wolftrot. "Why don't we get training? No need to stand around here any longer...."

Mystery's head drooped sadly, scuffling the ground with his paws he shrugged. "I'll just go on my own then, bye" He mewed as he turned and bounded through the heather. Upset and irritated that they were shooing him off like it was some big deal that they were clan and he wasn't. Oh well, maybe another day.

ic: Sablefur nodded to Lightfoot in acknowledgement to his decision, as if she could read his mind. At Lightfoot's words, she saw the younger rogue retreat into the bushes. He was right. The code was the code. She nodded to the other rogues. "Shall we go?" She motioned for the rogues to follow as she parted from the patrol. The deputy hoped they would comply.

Cobaltfire responded,
"Yes, let's finish this patrol."

Wolftrot nodded when Icestorm looked his direction.
