"I don't have to leave my sister alone because she's MY family. She's my only sibling and the reason she ran away from the clan is because our mother drowned in the river while hunting and I couldn't save her when I tried to anyways." He lashed his tail his pelt bristling.

Summitpaw narrowed his eye to tiny slits. "Well I should be getting back to the clan now goodbye Meadow." He meowed with an acidic like tone. He whipped around and stalked out.

Meadow stared from Storm to Summitpaw, feeling torn. "Oh, Storm, please don't!" she cried despairingly. "I love you, but Summitpaw is my brother... can't I love him too?" But then Storm tore away from the group, leaving her standing helplessly next to Summitpaw. But then her brother backed away as well.

"Summitpaw, don't go. I'm sorry about Storm; he's not usually like this. He's just trying to protect me!" Meadow wailed desperately. Why does every moment in my life have to end up so badly? she wondered, fighting back desperate tears.
