Training with your father isn't always boring [Training topic for Ket]

Jayflight climbed up over the hay bales where all the apprentices slept, he didn't mind being in the barn very much, he also wanted to spend some time with his daughter. He nudged her "Come on, were going training today" he mewed.

Blizzardpaw didn’t need to be told twice. She was right behind her dad, moving her ears in his direction to not miss a single word about whatever he may tell to her. She was ready, and she wasn’t going to let her dad or anyone in her clan down “What are we going to do first? Hunt? Fight? Explore the territory?...” The young apprentice started to list all the possibilities that came to her mind, clearly eager to start.

Jayflight purred "Were going to start with whatever you want to start with first" he mewed.

OOC: Can we start with the battle system??? I really have no idea of how to use it XD

Blizzardpaw stood silent for a couple of seconds, thousands of opportunities roaming around her head. It was hard to pick one, but in the end she finally managed to make up her mind. Sedgepaw always managed to beat her when they were play-fighting, maybe that was skill he needed to work on? “Hum…Fighting? Yes! Fighting please!”.

Jayflight purred "Alright" he mewed heading off "Fighting it is" he padded into a field that was matted with cold, long grass. He sat down and curled his tail around himself "I'm guessing you know all the unsheathed claw thing from you brother, Sedgepaw" he mewed "Let's see if you can Belly Rake" he mewed "Basically all you need to do is claw my belly with unsheathed claws" he explained simple, standing up he kept his claws sheathed until he was going to teach her a little more.

Blizzardpaw looked at Jayflight, feeling a bit unsure, she knew that fighting wasn’t one of her strong points…but that’s why she asked to train in that area, right?

Taking a deep breath she ran towards him and did her best to imitate what she had seen other warriors do, though pinning him to be able to do the move wasn’t exactly easy thanks to the size difference and she wouldn’t be surprised to hear from him that she was doing it wrong. She, however, couldn’t help but not follow the instructions about the claws and kept them sheathed, she didn’t want to harm her own dad!

Jayflight nodded "Good, but you don't want to pin me down, that is a different move. And, hurt me if you want, I've had an apprentice before, don't worry" he insured her "Try again"

Blizzardpaw took a deep breath, she had the feeling that she was doing it wrong and she got it confirmed right then and there, she had to be more careful from now on and not just try to imitate the warriors she had seen training around the camp before.

She once more tried to do the right move, hesitantly unsheathing her claws and focusing on clawing at his belly like he had told her earlier to do. She knew that her dad wasn’t defenseless and he knew what he was talking about, but still, she couldn’t help but feel a bit guilty for attacking with her claws unsheathed.

Jayflight smiled "Good, next is Run-And-Tackle" he mewed "It's pretty simple, all you need to do is well, run as fast as possible and tackle me" he mewed "Go" he began.

A huge smile made its way to Blizzardpaw’s muzzle, now that was a move she knew how to do. She took several steps backwards before immediately sprinting towards Jayflight at full speed, her paws even slipping a bit at the beginning. She gained as much momentum as possible before tackling her father with her full body.

Jayflight smiled "You did well, now for the last move, Tail Yank" he mewed "For Tail Yank you need to bite down on my tail and pull hard on it to knock me off balance" he explained again, flicking his tail to signal her to start.

OOC: You forgot to use dice roll for Leap-And-Hold, it's my fault I didn't tell you, sorry.

OOC: Leap-and-hold? When did I use that move? And how you roll a dice here?

It was clear that Blizzardpaw was feeling a lot more confident now and most of her initial hesitations where gone. Yeah, she wasn’t used to this kind of exercises and could feel that her energies were starting to deplete, but she couldn’t care less, she was ready for whatever Jayflight could throw at her now.

This time she listened carefully to the instructions to not mess up once more with an unknown move…bite his tail and pull hard enough to knock him off balance? Well, time to try it! She did as told, getting a firm hold on his tail before pulling as hard as she could, almost knocking herself off balance with the amount of strength she tried to put on doing so. Lesson for next time, not overdo these moves.
