"Yes. If we find trespassers, it most likely escalates to fighting." Wolftrot answered. "We will now," he replied as the pair stepped into the training area. He was flattered by Ashpaw's comment about wanting to be as good as he was.

"This is the training area. Most of us train here. All training is done with claws sheathed." he paused a second to let her take it in. "Okay, you know Front Paw Blow, correct?" he asked, waiting for her response.

"Yeah," Ashpaw said with anticipation. "It's really weak, isn't it?"

"It's not too weak. It'll do a fair amount of damage for a starting move. However, we're pulling blows here, so we won't be doing any damage." Wolftrot explained, moving to stand in the middle of the training area.

"I will demonstrate the first move you'll learn. It is called Front Paw Strike. You slash at your opponent with your claws." he explained before leaping forward and slashing at the air.

Wolftrot used Front Paw Strike, dealing no damage, and costing 10 SP.

"Cool!" Ashpaw imitated the move and fell flat on her face. She got up, embarrassed. "Um, can you demonstrate again?"

OOC: Okay, so the Rank System and the Battle System go hand-in-hand. Your rank determines how much HP and SP you have, and how much damage you do with each move.

Each move does a set amount of damage based on your rank. Wolftrot is a Warrior, and Ashpaw is an Apprentice, so Front Paw Blow's damage dealt would be 12 damage for Ashpaw, and 17 damage for Wolftrot. However, the SP cost is the same, being a cost of 5 SP for both.

The format for a move/attack is typically seen as this:

OOC: Wolftrot would protect her, regardless of where she came from. He cares for her, because she's his apprentice. Also, if the whole love between Wolftrot and Ashpaw thing is going to happen, then he wouldn't care either way.

IC: "Well done!" Wolftrot praised, before readying himself to show Ashpaw the next move. "This next move is the Belly Rake."
He jumps forward, then rolls over on his back, then began to strike at the air with his hind paws, mimicking the action of raking his claws against the belly of an enemy.

"That's a difficult predicament, but in that case you'd have to use moves such as this one." Wolftrot answered, moving around again. "This move is called the Leap-and-Hold. It'll hold your enemy for one turn." He then pounced on an invisible "enemy".

Ashpaw nodded and attempted to imitate the move. She promptly fell over. "Why are these moves so hard?" she moaned. Then she glanced at the sun. It was almost down. "Wow, time went fast. I need to do more... can we have a practice battle, Wolftrot?"

"Absolutely. Whenever you're ready." Wolftrot answered, moving to the center of the area, readying himself for the mock battle.

"Alright." Ashpaw looked at Wolftrot, trying to decide the best way to begin. She darted at him and smashed a paw across his head, without claws of course.
