July Gathering 2014 [PLOT]

Shimmerpaw nodded to Heatherpaw in greeting. "I am Shimmerpaw from Riverclan. It's nice to meet you um...what's your name?" She asked.

Heatherpaw shifted to get comfy. "Heatherpaw from WindClan. Nice to meet you too!"

Tonight was a very strange night. This was going to be Thrushstar's first gathering as leader, and it would be the first gathering Shadowclan had been to since the terrible attack moons ago. But he was ready and so was his clan. While they did hide and keep their distance away from all the clans, isolating themselves and having nothing to do with any of the craziness going on with Skyclan, Thrushstar had been planning and making sure that his clan was growing, and did they grow. Over the past few moons, many apprentices had grown to warriors-- strong warriors. Many more apprentices had taken their place. The clan had grown at a rapid pace and now the Shadowclan leader believed they were ready to show the three clans that they only made Shadowclan stronger. Looking at Fourtrees, he looked back at his clan. "Stand tall and keep your head high. We are better than them. Make them see that we've grown strong." Without another word, he turned back around and flicked his tail to signal his clan follow him.

As soon as the clan reached the clearing, Thrushstar did exactly as he said he would. His head was held high as he strode in, not even giving any attention to any of the other clan cats as he made his way toward Greatrock. Without saying anything, he leaped onto the giant rock and took his place. He looked confident, almost too confident-- as if he were showing that he was better than anyone else there.

Silverfang's eye shifted around the clearing as she walked into the gathering place, following slightly behind her clan. Fear grew in her slightly as she spotted Riverclan, and their leader there. She gave a sigh of relief as she noticed that Shadowclan had appeared. She decided it would be best to sit closer to them than Riverclan. She hoped Falconstar would mention the trespassing from the other day.

Briarheart happily followed after her clan mates. This was her first gathering in a long time. The warrior had finally built enough courage to face the other clans, and leave her territory. She carefully made her way among the cats, and sat down among her clan.

Badgerpaw padded in the clearing, his tail held high in the air, same with his head. He didn't slouch a bit and he had a tough, daring expression on his face. As he followed his leader into the gathering place, he scanned the cats for Heatherpaw. A flicker of affection flashed across his face once he spotted her, but then left. Badgerpaw wanted to go over and sit next next to her, but he couldn't...it would be suspicious, and plus, she was talking with other cats. Instead, he snuck over to a quiet and shady spot on the corner of the clearing, blending in with the shadows.

Otterfur, newly named and radiating pride, padded into the clearing early along with the rest of RiverClan; taking a seat near the front where he could clearly see Reedstar and the rest of the leaders who had yet to arrive. For a few moments, he spared a little chit-chat with the other warriors, hard to keep the grin off of his face as they waited. It was even harder when WindClan padded into the clearing, and tough as they acted - or as well as the small, scrawny warriors could, anyways - there was no denying their smaller numbers and the various wounds they carried. He had to look the other way as well, so they couldn't see the smug smile on his face. When ShadowClan came along, though, he couldn't help but turn his head back - ears perked up as he eyed the clan with interest. He'd never seen ShadowClan cats before, aside from their medicine cat who came occasionally.

Ebonyleaf stood at the side of the clan, trying to peer into the clearing and see if any of the other clans there. Like many others, she wasn't well acquainted with the rest of the forest - aside from RiverClan. And even then, she only saw a few of them every other night. She did as her father bid, though, keeping her curiosity to herself for the moment and standing as tall as she could. It took effort to follow the rest of the clan in, each step of hers mindful and always checking to make sure that her posture was well enough. When their clan had finally found their place in the crowd, she quickly set off to find Cloverpaw.

Another new warrior was amongst them as well, his yellow eyes glinting in anticipation. This was technically his first gathering, at Fourtrees anyways, with the other clans. The tom, larger and possible more intimidating than most cats, shot the she-cat next to him a smile. "I'm going to be the one to ruin our scary first impression." He muttered jokingly to Bearmask. With a shake of his head, Tigerclaw stood up and followed his leader into the clearing, his gaze sweeping over the clearing - eying a few other cats. He'd heard a lot of bad tales of the other clans, how they were all bitter, cruel warriors; and judging from the many cold glares and ruffled pelts, so far - it all seemed to be true.

Mistflower had insisted on going with the rest of the clan, believing the kits were old enough to be watched by another queen for the night. Although she believed things to be far more peaceful when they didn't have to deal with the rest of the clans, and she was sure to a point that Thrushstar agreed, they were compelled to go anyways. She was a little bitter about it, but it wasn't her call. She stayed quiet, her chilly gaze held above the crowd as she padded in alongside the leader. She had little issue walking above them, her tail and chin held high as she found a place to sit amongst the rest of her clan. 'Do us well, Love.' The she-cat thought as Thrushstar padded away from them, leaping up unto the Greatrock.

A newly appointed apprentice approached the clearing, her pale green eyes sparkling in the dim moonlight. Pinepaw nervously looked around hoping for signs of her mentor or some other apprentices,  Actually she didn't really wanna deal with anyone. Grunting Pinepaw trotted over to a nice spot plain in the moonlight. Settling down she gave her shoulders a couple licks , looking up every now and then to see if the gathering was about to begin.

Scorchclaw did exactly as Thrushstar had said to do -- His almost black head was held high and he strode in after the ShadowClan leader. His fiery amber gaze swept over the other cats as he took a spot in the clearing.

"I take that back." Minowflash whispered to Ashcloud as Shadowclan strode into the clearing, all too cocky and superior.

Jaypaw slipped out from the shadows his head high and proud. Yes shadowcln was making the way to the gathering

Nodding in agreement, Ashcloud watched the entering Shadowclan, with their heads and tails held high. "Who knows what they've got to say after all these moons," he muttered to Minnowflash. His head was half turned towards the Great Rock, but his eyes stayed trained to the prideful cats.

Following the Windclan cats, one stood a head taller, gazing across the already large number of cats. A hard, emotionless brown glare was shot in Riverclan's direction. Deernose raised his black-tipped tail high, ignoring the pain in his back caused by those cursed Skyclan cats. Sitting solely among his Clanmates, but not close enough to speak with them, the Windclan warrior watched all the other cats silently.

Shadowpaw walked into the clearing with her head up high. She stood tall and walked to her spot. This is her first time at the gathering. I hope this goes well...

Eaglepaw walked into the clearing. He looked around and saw different cats and different clans. This is also his first time at the gathering.

Dewstar was angry. No, she was furious. She was frustrated and stressed and she hadn't slept in a while. Still, she had groomed her pelt to the best of her abilities. Her short fur didn't conceal the fresh scars that would be joining her single shoulder mark as permanent tears in her flesh. Stepping was painful, and charging down the slope was doubly so, but her pride muzzled her and kept her from complaining. If only her pride hadn't been so horribly wounded, more so than her body, at the battle Reedstar called 'justice.' Despite the burning rage in her chest she walked with an eerily coldness about her. Each step was heavy, yet prideful. Each glance was cold and judging. Some RiverClan cats were smiling. Some were silent. Some WindClan cats were trying to save face and be proud. Some were not bothering and glancing at their paws. All of those StarClan-forsaken ShadowClan cats were prancing like they themselves had won some pointless war that did nothing but make them feel better about themselves. And the SkyClan cats weren't there. Dewstar shoved past a few unlucky cats who hadn't seen her coming and made straight for the Great Rock, joining her equals and staring down the Clans from the top. After a moment of silence, she glanced around at all of the other leaders. "ThunderClan welcomes the return of ShadowClan." She murmured to the newest leader. "It's good to have the fourth and final Clan prospering." Her blue eyes flashed momentarily at Reedstar to watch his reaction from the side of her vision.

Following closely behind the ThunderClan leader was Breezefeather, her black and white banner swaying behind her. She didn't catch the eyes of any other cat here and sat her haunches down in a clear spot, which was hard to find since ThunderClan were the last to arrive. Oh wait, SkyClan still has to arrive. Breezefeather thought to herself bitterly.

Minnowflash nodded in reply to Ashclouds comment. "But I'm excited to hear about SkyClan, and see if they all fit into the clearing." He said with a mrrow of laughter at the end.

As Shimmerpaw continued her chit-chat with Heatherpaw, Thunderclan arrived. She growled. Even though she hadn't fought in the battle, she still knew that it was terrible from the scars on her clan's cats' pelts, she couldn't help but toss an annoyed stare to Dewstar. Someone woke up on the wrong side of the den, she thought with a laugh.

Badgerpaw was still trying to decide weather or not to go and sit next to Heatherpaw. Eventually, he got up and padded over. What do I say? He thought. Once Badgerpaw arrived, he sat down next to Heatherpaw, about five inches away. "Mind If I sit here," Badgerpaw said sternl as rhetorical question. 

Maplepaw followed Thunderclan into four trees at the end of the group. This was her first gathering, and she didn't want to waste it thinking about Skyclan's shananagins. She shook off her thoughts and found a group of Thunderclan cats by the great rock. Maplepaw sat down and started up a nice talk.

Goldenpaw followed her leader proudly. She had no idea what to think of the stupid Skyclan stuff. This was her first gathering as well was Maplepaw's. For a second, she wanted to follow Maplepaw, but decided not to and found a spot alone in the middle of the clearing. Hoping that someone would sit with her, she groomed her fur then turned her attention to the great rock.

Flameclaw marched in the gathering behind her leader. The Thunderclan warrior walked with pride despite her scars, and wounds. Their life went on, but the cold bitterness towards Riverclan didn't go away. Flameclaw could tell that two of the four clans held resentment towards the fish faces, and she held a flame in her eye as well every time she looked at one. Though despite the slight pride the ginger cat held, she still kept a cold aura about her. She didn't want to deal with the fish eaters, but since this was the gathering she had too.
