All Work and No Play

Leaping through the underbrush of Shadowclan Territory, Sunpaw's orange tail waved up in the air like a brilliant banner in the gloom. She had never been so excited to get ready. It seemed like thus far, all of her training had involved cleaning out the nests of the stinky elders - and she wasn't allowed to complain about it either. She had spent more time in camp than she had as a kit!

But that was all about to change - because today was her first training sessions with her mentor. And actual training lesson. If only her mentor wasn't being so slow.

"Can we hurry up? We can't hunt at night, surely!" She growled towards Stormflight, forgetting that she should probably be more respectful to her mentor.

"Okay I'm coming." Stormflight said then began leading her out of camp.

Grr. Weren't warriors supposed to be eager to teach all of them? To pass on their knowledge to their apprentices. If it weren't so childish, she would have complained to someone - but seeing as she was newly apprenticed, she didn't want it taken away so soon.

"I didn't realize it'd be so slow." She growled to herself, as she darted forward and back several times, trying to egg Stormflight into hurrying. Louder, she added instead. "I bet you I already know how to catch all kinds of frogs and stuff. They don't seem too hard to catch, seeing as they're so soft and stuff to begin with."
