MAMA SAID PLAY SO WE ARE GOING TO PLAY

After a large yawn and a few stretches, the black warrior took in a deep breath of the fresh, crisp newleaf air. It was wonderful out here... Maybe she only a foxlength away from her kits, but it was still nice to get away even just a little bit. Who knew kits could be so needy? Heavypaw was never like that... Was he?

Cormorantpelt look up at the sky and heaved a sigh. It was about time the kits were woken up; they've been sleeping to long.

YES MAMA ;AAA;

Tigerkit let out a large, loud yawn. Although the tom was still young, he was already one of the biggest kits in the nursery - almost the size of an apprentice. He wasn't quite the biggest, though, his brother Mothkit was large too. He swore it was nothing but fluff though. Once he was totally conscious of what was going on, he shot up at once. "Rainkit! Mothkit! Wake up!" He nudged both of them with a smile before running outside.

The kit had been curled up comfortably next to his mother, his head resting lightly beneath his tail. He was having a wonderful dream about fighting off a pack of dogs from attacking the camp, and his paws twitched accordingly. In his dreams he was large, muscular, and all he had to do was hiss at the wild mutts and give them a few good smacks with his paws and they would cower away.

But his dream was cut short by his brother's rambunctious start. The kit lifted his head, with his eyelids drooping over his eyes in a sleepy fashion. "Wha--?" He mewed quickly, stumbling over himself as he tried to jump up. And not wanting to be out-shown by his brother, he quickly bounded out of the nursery after him.

Sleeping gently besides Mothkit was Rainkit, the light grey she-kit dreaming peacefully. Curled up in rest from exhaustion beforehand, her two brothers causing more mischief than she could keep up with. While it wasn't particularly what she perceived as enjoyment, for certain, the she-kit knew it was what was considered ordinary at the very most. Therefore, the ShadowClan kit thought she might as well play along. Her dream wasn't anything particularly special, more solemn and quiet than most. However, a startling push at her side immediately made her jolt and knowing only the voice of Tigerkit could possibly cause her to do as such, Rainkit immediately flattened her ears, slowly rising from her resting place.

Her eyes were lowered and slightly dull, and she had a tired expression etched on her face. Just as she had fully come to her senses, her two brothers had already bounded outside without her. Slightly annoyed that they had left without her, the smaller kit stayed still for a few moments, unsure whether it was fine to leave the nursery or not. Hesitating for a few moments, Rainkit glanced up to see her mother, waiting for approval. Though, secretly, her own mind was wandering in endless thoughts in negative directions, Who am I messing with? We shouldn't leave the nursery... Why would I bother waiting for approval? It's not even safe or good or anything. This place isn't close to secure. Dark attacks that can be at any corner...

Scorchclaw returned from patrol and peeked into the nersury to check on his kits and his mate, Cormorantpelt. "Morning, Tigerkit, Riankit and Mothkit." He purred, smiling at each kit im turn.

Tigerkit seemed to mind little of the oh-so big and bad dangers of the dark, running out and tripping for a second, he glanced up at the sky. "Wooaah... There are so many stars out..." He mused, straightening up and spinning around to meet his siblings. He didn't even notice his mother standing nearby yet, he was too excited. "Isn't StarClan huge?" He asked them. When their father approached them, his grin grew wider. "Scorchclaw!" He happily, and playfully, pounced on the warrior. Out of all the kits, Tigerkit might've possibly been the most hyperactive.

Cormorantpelt watched her two sons gleefully; chuckling when her hyperactive son, Tigerkit, pounced on Scorchclaw. They were growing up splendidly!The dark warrior liked to think of her kits as the pride and joy of ShadowClan... Then again, what other queen wouldn't think their kits were? 

A movement caught her yellow eyes and she looked down. "Rainkit? Why aren't you playing with your brothers?" Sudden panic went through her. "Are you sick? Maybe I should go get Ebonypaw..."

The darkness made itself useful for Mothkit, whose dark patches allowed him to blend in nicely with the swampy setting of his company. Much like that of his brother, the tom had never been one to get scared easily and in fact, the darkness and sure idea of the unknown sent the kit into a fit of excitement. "It's-- it's--- AWESOME!" He mused, staring up at the sky and thus not paying attention to where he was going. With a thud the cat bumped into his father. Trying to impress the older tom, he immediately fluffed up his chest and raised his whiskers high into the air. "Scorthclaw," He mewed once more, dipping his head like he had seen the warriors do to each other in a cordial introductions. He kept his tone calm and adult like, but despite his attempts to seem older and impressive, his puny voice gave way to show his true age.

Scorchclaw stumbled as his son pounced on his back. "Woah there, Tiger." He he exclaimed and fell on his side. "Ahhh no!! Don't kill me!!" He pretended to die and then looked to his other son, Mothkit. "Help me Mothkit!!" He croaked.
