Birth Topic!!

Moonstrike layed in the sun lazily and looked around the camp. She stretched as sgently as she could and purred at the sight of her swollen belly. She was carrying Soulfang's kits and she knew they were expected soon. The warrior couldn't wait to be a mother! And with that thought came a sharp pain. The she-cat let out a yowl and immediately thought of the kits. She pushed herself up into the standing position and started making her way into the nursery. "Soulfang!" she yowled as she headed to the nursery. Another sharp pain cause the warrior to hiss in pain. She finally reached the nursery and before she entered she called out, "Ebonypaw!" The warrior then entered the nursery and layed in an empty nest. She hissed in pain once more.

Ebonypaw was in the medicine cat den, sorting out her new stores if herbs when she heard the yowl coming from the nursery. Moonstrike's kits had to be coming then, finally. Luckily, she knew what she'd be doing far more this time around. When Cormorantpelt's kits were born, Mistflower had stepped in to help walk her through it, but she was confident this time she could work alone.
Grabbing a few soft leaves from her herb stock, Ebonypaw ran to the nursery. "Moonstrike, are you okay?" she asked, urging the young warrior to lay down in her nest. "It'll be alright. Eat these." She set the herbs down. Where was her mate?

Soulfang was resting, his wounds were finally 'healing' and his stomach was starting to get bigger from actually being able to eat. The satisfaction of actually having food for once was amazing. Even though he knew most Shadowclan cats didn't like him, he was glad to be back in Shadowclan. He truly did miss a few of them, mostly Redshade and Moonstrike. Moonstrike especially.

Just before the tom could close his eyes, the sound of his name being yelled was called over and over. Blue orbs focused on the she-cat that ran into Nursery and not to long after her, so did Ebonypaw. Soulfang hopped onto his feet and dashed across the camp to where Moonstrike was. Stumbling into the den, Soulfang raced to Moonstrike's side before looking at Ebonypaw. "Is there anything I should do?"

Moonstrike layed her nest as another wave of paib hit her. She ate the herbs quickly and relief flooded her when she heard Soulfang's voice. She looked at him affectionately before her face twisted in pain. She let out a yowl and her eyes squeezed shut briefly.

Ebonypaw nodded in soft approval as the she-cat ate the herbs before watching her cringe in another spasm of pain. She couldn't imagine ever wanting to go through that. Instead of trying too, she focused on tending to Moonstrike. The raspberry leaves would slow her bleeding and make the process a little less painful and a little more safe, as well as help make fresh milk for the kits. "Deep breaths." she told the queen, placing her paws on her belly. Her gaze flickered over as Soulfang entered the den. "Get get some water to drink, then help talk her through this." The apprentice said.

Moonstrike took deep breaths, the pain still there, no as entirely extreme but still definitely there. The she-cat clenched her teeth together as another sharp pain hit her. "Please tell me that's one of the kits making there way out!" she exclaimed. She breathed deeply, trying not to focus on the pain.

Soulfang nodded at what Ebonypaw said before leaving the nursery. After a few moments the tom returned with wet moss, he walked over to the medicine cat apprentice and placed it down before standing himself beside Moonstrike.

"It's going to be fine, Moonstrike. You can get through this." Soulfang purred as he watched his mate clench her teeth in pain. He was truly worried but Moonstrike was strong, she would get through this. She had too.

Moonstrike tried to focus on deep breathing and Soulfang's voice. The pain wasn't as unbearable but it still hurt.

Placing her paws on the queens belly, she felt the small three shapes inside. "Yes, Moonstrike. Just remember, deep breaths." The medicine cat apprentice sighed. After a seemingly long time, the she-cat was done and her pain would be starting to settle, all the while Ebonypaw was taking the last kit and licking it backwards to get it's blood flowing before setting it by it's mother's belly. The first had a striking resemblance to Soulfang. The second was another unique little fluff-ball with odd gray and white stripes. The last was a small, but pretty black and white kit, the tiniest of them. All of them were she-kits.
Seemingly relieved it went well, Ebonypaw started cleaning up her herbs. "They're beautiful kits, Moonstrike, and all healthy." she meowed, standing up to leave. "If you need anything else, you know where to find me. I'll be back to check on you later." The she-cat nodded to them and padded out of the nursery.

Moonstrike looked at the kits as the pain subsided. "Soulfang! Look!" she said happily. She looked over the kits and her eyes shined with pride. "Thank you Ebonypaw." Moonstrike called as the medicine cat apprentice left. She turned her gaze back to the kits. She looked at the first one, the one that looked so much like Soulfang, then to the next one with grey and white stripes, then to the youngest and smallest.

Soulfang purred as he let out a light smile, a very unusual action coming from the tom. His blue gaze settled on the small bundles of fur. All of them seemed to be quiet and sleeping unlike what he thought they would be after they were born. Letting out a quiet breath, Soulfang gently nudged Moonstrike's head before asking her a question. "What are their names?"

ooc: Meanwhile Mallow is lying in the medicine cat den slowly dying, waiting until Ebony completes her training.
Plus, who stole my whole littlekit? D| That's mah name. Anyway, sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Moonstrike looked over the kits and smiled softly. "This one, the oldest, we can call Splotchkit." she purred. "Then this one can be Greykit," she said, nudging the next kit. "And finally, Littlekit." She looked to her mate for approval.
