Squirrelkit's, Duskkit's, Brownkit's and Eaglekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Sagestar flicked his tail, ready to make more future warriors for the clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here under the Jagged Rock for a clan meeting!"

Eaglekit poked his head out of the nursery. Could this be it? It had to be. Padding over towards Jagged Rock he sat down, looking up at Sagestar. His eyes glimmered with excitement for the upcoming meeting and admiration for Sagestar; he must've been so brave to be chosen leader, and to call upon all of these cats!

Nightcloud padded from the warrior den with a soft yawn, but her eyes glimmered as she looked up at Sagestar. She knew that today was more apprentice ceremonies, and hopefully she would get to train one. She sat down, waiting for the ceremony to get started.

Brownkit padded after Sagestar had called the clan together his tabby pelt neat and his eyes now two different colors.

Nightwing was already out in the clearing, she had just finished eating her share of the prey when Sagestar called the meeting. The deputy glanced up, then turned her gaze over to the nursery. Finding her usual spot, the she-cat watched on. The same thought ran though her head, like every time Sagestar held a apprentice ceremony. 'The clan is growing.'

Duskkit squealed and raced towards the Jagged Rock and sat down right in front. His fur was dancing wildly in the small breeze, but he didn't bother fixing it.

Shadeclaw padded out, sitting down beside Nightcloud. He looked around in awe, the realization of how big the clan was becoming filling him with new excitement. He assumed this was an apprentice ceremony, since there were a lot of kits around.

"Today we welcome four newcomers into our world as they start their training to become warriors," Sagestar announced, looking into the crowd and spotting four young kits. "Squirrelkit, Duskkit, Brownkit, and Eaglekit." His green gaze traveled over them, waiting for them to step forward. "From this day forth, until you have received your warrior names, you will be known as Squirrelpaw, Duskpaw, Brownpaw, and Eaglepaw."

"Thrushstripe, you will be mentor to Squirrelpaw. Mapleface, you will mentor Duskpaw. Cinderfrost, you will be mentor to Brownpaw. Though you all newly named, I trust that with guidance you will all prove to be great teachers to them." He said, nodding his head to each of them. The last kit, though, he was concerned with - given his history, and chose his mentor carefully. "Nightcloud, you will mentor Eaglepaw." He let the clan celebrate and jumped down, finished with the flick of his tail.

Eaglepaw's eyes glittered with excitement as he was given his new name, and he padded over to Nightcloud, touching his nose to hers. "I'm glad you're my mentor. You're really nice." he purred.

Nightcloud smiled as she was given Eaglepaw, glancing down at the apprentice. She let out a small laugh as she gently touched noses with him. "I would hope I was nice...And I am glad you are my apprentice, also."

Mapleface purred, stepping forward to Duskpaw. "Well, hello there, apprentice."

"Hi," the new apprentice squeaked.

The new apprentice bounded happily to his mentor, a smile stretched across his face.

Squirrelkit sheepishly smiled, inwardly proud of him becoming an apprentice. He didn't outwardly show it, even if he was bursting to race around the camp in excitement. Instead he smiled at his new mentor, giddy to begin training.
