A silent Larch

Larchpaw walked stiffly from the Thunderclan apprentices den. She looked up at the sky, and saw that it would be a sunny day. She walked over to a smooth rock in the clearing on silent paws, and layed down on it, letting the sun warm her fur. She looked around to hope to see her father, but it probably wouldn't be likely. Well, that's one cat she won't see often. Why not one of the Thunderclan warriors? Emberblaze? Maybe. Lionstar? Not likely at all. She never did really take interest in the Thunderclan leader, but she planned to later on. Why not Kestrelflight? No, she's mostly busy. Well, she'd probably go out to train soon, but she would be patient.

"Hello, Larchpaw. Are you doing well? Looking for your mentor, perhaps?" Embershade greeted the apprentice, padding out of the warriors den, stealing some glances around the camp. She yawned, and quickly arched her back. I mean, she wanted the SkyClan cats to feel at home, and it was quite easy to feed them, except when it was leaf-bare, so ThunderClan had a tough time doing so. But luckily, the warrior had grown used to the SkyClan cats, and started to enjoy being around them, with so little kits in ThunderClan. She enjoyed the company, being able to talk to them without spoiling any clan secrets, because, they shared a camp, of course! It would be quite hard to hide secrets with a clan you share the camp with.

But Coldheart's death had put some cats at ease in the camp, and especially learning that Icestream did it! To believe she fell in love with that dreaded cat. She had learned that Icestream had been exiled. As all this was going on in her mind for the past 5 seconds, she sat in the sun, and waited for the apprentice's answer.

Larchpaw looked at Emberblaze, her gaze showing no emotion. "I'm feeling really sad today." she quickly mewed. "I don't know why. But no, I'm not looking for Flamestar." she finished. She got up and stretched, then sat down by Emberblaze. She had gotten a friendly sense with the she-cat, and she always would. "I miss my mother. I know she went to Starclan when I was a kit, but I still remember it as if it was yesterday." she sighed. "I miss her so much Emberblaze..." she trailed off. "But that won't stop me from helping my clan." she finished.

"I know, Coldheart was a very nice warrior, with many kits she grew to love, and you were one of them." And Icestream... Another. She added silently. "I'm upset, too, how Icestream..." Embershade cut off, turning her head away, shame in her mind, and tears streaming down her face. Embershade dried her tears and turned back, regretting saying that... She just hoped the apprentice wouldn't ask. "That is good that you would like to help your clan, especially, with the rouges around here. If they happen to attack ThunderClan, you would be a great addition to help fight," she added with a smile.

Larchpaw nodded, "It's good to know I have a friend." she said, but once she heard about Icestream, she wondered. "What about him?" she said. "That cold-hearted murderer?" she hissed coldly under her breath.

"Well, you see, we fell in love, and I can't believe I trusted that cold-hearted traitor!" Embershade unsheathed her claws, driving them into the ground. "He was the only one who loved me, and I loved and trusted him." She whimpered.

Larchpaw looked at Embershade. She listened, and understood. "He threatened to kill me and Silentpaw if we told what he did." she mewed quietly. "I trust you, Embershade. I know we are still rivals, but in battle, I just couldn't lay a claw on you. Even if I had to." she sighed, and looked towards the camp entrance.

"Thank you." Embershade replied, wondering why life was so complicated.

Lionstar padded out of his den, spotting Embershade and Larchpaw talking quietly by the edge of camp. Probably upset about Coldheart still, he thought, looking away.

Ooc: Not sure what else to put besides that...

OOC: I'm surprised, you're on of the members who will post long ones. XD

IC: Embershade sighted Lionstar outside of his den. "Excuse me," she meowed to Larchpaw, getting up. Embershade padded over to where she saw the ThunderClan leader, and sighted him again. "Lionstar." Embershade greeted the leader, dipping her head. "Can I have a word with you?" She asked, glancing back Larchpaw.

Larchpaw nodded. "Alright." she mewed. She curled her tail around her paws, and slashed the damp earth with her claw.

Ooc: Guess I don't have my muse right now x)

Ic: Lionstar glanced over, ears perking as the warrior approached him. "Of course Embershade. Is something wrong?" He questioned. For a moment, he hoped it wasn't about Larchpaw, for he didn't like to get involved in any of the more personal issues concerning Skyclan, but he quickly reminded himself they were basically one clan at the moment, and were to be treated with decent respect. After all, they had supplied Thunderclan with useful information that could have possibly saved them in the future....Possibly, anyways.

IC: "I don't know, it's just the fact that SkyClan is at ease at the moment, for the whole, Icestream killed Coldheart thing. I just wish there was a way we could help that. Everyone just seems so... Down and sad. Do you think there's a way to help them?" Embershade asked, a worried expression on her face.

Ooc: You do know that "At Ease" means free from any negative emotions(basically), right?

Ic: Lionstar sighed, slightly disappointed this is what she had come to ask him about. Still, he once again reminded himself that Skyclan problems were their business as well right now...Most of the time.

"I'm afraid such an event has left a scar on several cats here. However, time heals all wounds. For now, just try not to upset those who are most upset by the tragedy." He quietly answered, as there was not much they could really do. They couldn't make the cats be happy and forget what had happened. Perhaps they would never forget...

OOC: O.O Oops, my bad.

IC: "Than you, Lionstar, I will keep that in mind when talking to any SkyClan cats." Embershade meowed, then turned, and padded away.
