Blossomkit's ceremony

Stormstar stood on the Tallrock, the wind pulling at his pelt as he gazed down at the almost empty clearing below him. It was time for another ceremony, and while he was wishing for it to be Twistedkit's ceremony yet, the young tom wasn't to age yet and part of Stormstar feared that his son's twisted paw would make it harder to be a warrior... With a sigh, he let out a yowl to call the Clan together.

Twistedkit had been resting outside of the nursery when his father's call rang across the moor. He looked up in surprise, and quickly got to his paws and walked over to the Tallrock, sitting not far from it. He beamed up at his father, knowing fully well that this wasn't his ceremony, but instead in hope that his father had saw that Twistedkit had manged to walk without a limp, even if it caused him to be a little slower then normal. He was going to be an apprentice, and he was going to make sure of it...Suddenly, Twistedkit's heart sank. Shadekit-now Shadepaw, was an apprentice, that means this gathering could be for one she-cat only...Blossomkit. The young tom frowned sadly, realizing that his best friend was now becoming an apprentice without him... By StarClan he hoped that he would become an apprentice soon then, so they could share a den together again.

Blossomkit poked her head out of the nursery, and found her friend Twistedkit by the Tallrock. Although shy, she trusted Twistedkit. "What's going on?" She whispered.

"Apprentice ceremony I think," Twistedkit whispered back, his tail wrapped around his paws. His gaze dropped a little as he went on. "No doubt yours..." He wasn't six moons old, this couldn't be his but all of his friends were leaving him...Gosh, it kinda sucked being the younger kit.

"Don't talk like that." Blossomkit purred, "You'll be an apprentice before I can even blink twice." She did a small laugh, and began washing herself.

Falconfang appeared into the camp from hunting because that probably should be happening and, noticing cats gathering by the Tallrock, deposited his prey and headed for the clearing, taking a spot close to the rock and sitting down. He assumed it was an apprentice ceremony... must be Blossomkit's, he thought to himself after a moment of thought on it.

Twistedkit looked up with a weak smile, purring. At least he had cats around him that could cheer him up, and he had been looking forward to being the first one to call Blossomkit's new name. In fact...Twistedkit turned his head to his father, who stood proud and mighty on the Tallrock.

"Blossomkit, will you please step forward?" Stormstar meowed, his gaze fixed on the small kit.

Blossomkit was stunned. It was her ceremony. Slowly, she walked to the base of the Tallrock. She was overwhelmed with all the eyes on her. Blossomkit, being her shy self, couldn't stop her heart from racing.

Stop shaking. Stop shaking.

Clearing his throat, Stormstar glanced down at the kit before him. “Blossomkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Blossompaw. I will mentor you.” Stormstar then leaned forward to touch noses with the newly named Blossompaw.

“BLOSSOMPAW! BLOSSOMPAW!” Twistedkit howled from his spot, the normally quiet kit causing quite an uproar. He didn't care if the whole world heard him, he just wanted to make Blossompaw proud of her new name.

BlossomPAW touched noses with her leader, and new mentor. "Thank you." She whispered before turning around to see Twistedkit chanting her name.

"Blossompaw! Blossompaw!" Falconfang cheered the name of the new Windclan apprentice, happy to see the clan growing once more. He was sure that Blossompaw would make a great warrrior someday.
