Dewpaw's Border Patrol Training & Morning Patrol

"Yuck. I can't smell ShadowClan or WindClan at all with this stench hanging around! The monsters must be real protective over their territory if they'd kill cats just for stepping a single paw on the stuff." She stared at the hard path, wondering how often monsters came around on it. "Do they ever leave the Thunderpath?"

Lionstar stared blankly at the Thunderpath. "It's...never happened before, but it is always possible. The monsters have always stayed on for some reason...as if they are stuck there. But we don't worry about them too much. Now let-" Suddenly a huge, silver, cube-shaped monster(A truck) came shrieking down the Thunderpath. Lionstar leaped back quickly, pulling Dewpaw with him. When the monster was out of sight, he looked around before continuing. "...As I was saying, let's go back now. That's all there is to see." He said calmly, not looking at Dewpaw. He began to pad away as if nothing had happened.

Dewpaw's eyes were wide with fear and suprise as the monster sped past. She hardly felt Lionstar tug her away from the roaring beast, and as soon as it had passed, she stared gaping at where it just was. "Those giant paws would've squished me flat if I were any closer!" With a shudder, she backed away and followed Lionstar and wondered how he could be so calm after a giant thing like that had gone past.
