sick with greencough

Icepaw let out a huff. "Do you doubt our sister's strength?" He asked simply. "Plus, Runningfoot is right. I wouldn't want my other sister getting sick too!"

"hey what am i?" blackkit asked slowly standing up her legs shaking.

Icepaw blinked at Blackkit. "Lay back down Blackkit, you need your rest. You're just a little sick, that's all. Willowstream is taking care of you," He mewed calmly.

"I need to get strong like you guys, though" she said taking her first steps in a few days.

He smiled. "You're strong like us already. Sickness doesn't prevent that. But if you get tired, lay back down, and please don't leave this den. If you do, it might get worse..." He drifted off, looking away.

Shiningpaw rushed to her sister's side alowing her to lean on her for balance

"thanks" she said before a coughing fit hit her harder than the first and she collapsed on the ground.

Icepaw rushed forward. "Blackkit! Are you okay?!" He hissed in fear.

Shiningpaw helped her sister get back up by grabbing her scruff and pulling her to her feet.

"Im fine" she said still coughing and wiggled free from shinningpaw's jaws and wiggled over to her nest again.

"I think it's time that Blackkit gets her rest." Runningfoot looked at the two apprentices.

Icepaw nodded in agreement and stepped outside, shaking his fur. Even so, he stayed near the medicine cat den in case something happened.

"no no Im fine" she said weakly but this time staying in her nest.

Icepaw perked his ears. "You're not fine. You sound like you are about to have another coughing fit. I'll get Willowstream." He mewed, quickly hurrying to the back of the den. "Willowstream!" He called. "Blackkit is getting worse!"
