Still Being Sick

Sleetpaw laid outside the medicine cat den, keeping a grumpy look on her face. The warr- apprentice didn't like sitting around being sick. Somehow the pale white she-cat managed to keep it long enough and severe enough to prevent her from being a warrior. Though in her free time she did help Ebonyleaf a little bit. She enjoyed it, but she was sick of being sick.

Fennelpaw had just come out of the apprentice's den ready to start a new night, but she really had no idea where her mentor was. Oh, Starclan she really wanted to get out an train! She wanted to see the territory now that she was able to, but there wasn't anyone to take her! Maybe Scorchclaw could take her? Or Badgerpaw. She was sure Badgerpaw would since he wanted to cover for her whens she tried to sneak out not too long ago. The only issue was that she didn't see anyone around the camp until she turned to see Sleetpaw near the medicine den. Prancing over to the rather old apprentice, she looked at her curiously. "Hey there!" she said lightly. "Are you okay?" Fennelpaw asked her, not knowing how long the apprentice had been sick.

Sleetpaw glanced towards the newer apprentice, clearly not happy. "No, I am not. I have been sick for a very long time." The older apprentice gave off a sigh, "I should have been a warrior by now, but the sickness had to get in the way." She gave off a grunt and shifted her position to get comfortable. She soon a gave off a cough in response of being mad at the sickness, soon after she gave off a glare.

Suddenly, the apprentice's perkiness kind of fell. Her ears dropped down onto her head and her tail flopped into the dirt. It was hard to believe that this she-cat had been stuck as an apprentice for so long just because she was sick. It was really hard to believe. Why would Thrushstar do that? Unless she was seriously sick, which it looked like she was. "That stinks!" she whined, looking at Sleetpaw with a pout. "Is there anything I can do to help? I bet it's not fun being sick..."

IC: Badgerpaw padded into camp with a toad in his jaws. He put it down in the fresh-kill pile, then found a dark spot in camp and sat down. As he looked around, he noticed Fennelpaw talking to some sick apprentice named Sleetpaw. He laughed as he remembered the day he saved Fennelpaw's butt.
