A huge forest fire goes through every clan territory, except Riverclan's, because of twoleg's expierement. Fourtree's is too small for three clans to fit in. Every clan has to go towards Riverclan terriorty, unless you seriously would rather risk death, and stay in the smoke at Fourtrees. That 'tis how the clans merge.

Nice... Except I don't see how ShadowClan and WindClan territory would burn.

Plus Shadowclan is marshy all the way around I don't really see how it will travel besides the trees but someone might know but you have an awesome idea!

maybe windclan could have twolegs cleaning up garbage and the camp needs to be evacuated or something.

If there was so much garbage that it was all over WindClan land and filled to the brim in the camp, could cats possibly live there?
And if there was trash anywhere, it'd be in ShadowClan land around CarrionPlace. cx

It's a National Park in southern England, they're not a bunch of savages who have to live off of bunny meat.

Also, a bunch of poachers who have some kind of strange taste for wild dirty rabbit wouldn't be in WindClan territory for very long, rendering their trip to RiverClan utterly pointless.

possible reason for the fire and explanation as to why all the clans' territories would burn:

A drought maybe?

It would make the grass in Windclan dry out and easy to burn, and Shadowclan's territory wouldn't nearly be as mucky and marshy. I guess the only issue with that is it would affect Riverclan too. Grr. well, there's an idea thrown out of the blue o3o;

So, my cat, Stormi, is supposed to be killed by a tree that fell on her during a storm, so why don't we just have a huge storm that lightning is shocking down trees, setting them on fire (Rain alone wouldn't put it out for a while, as in the books the rain didn't help a lot till later >.>), and there could be a HURRICANE or something. Except it's passing around the edges of windclan territory, which is too far from Riverclan to really have any affect on them except the fact of maybe a little overflow of water sloshing around from... little winds...So all the clans are FORCED to go to riverclan and hide there for a few days, and realize how safe it is in RC, and how friendly the kitties are to them(because why would they be mean to them if they want a joined clan? They'd see the obvious opportunity), so they join up :D. Also, I want Storm to die on the way to Rc, when she rescues my next life, who I want to join Shadowclan by the way...

Anyone like this idea?
