Bramblepaw's hunting/ Battle training/ Assignment ALL in one!

Bramblepaw!" Gracestep whispered, shaking the apprentice with a paw. "Time for training!"

Bramblepaw woke up a little sleepy. "What...oh ok." he said a little dazed.

"Come on." Once they were in the forest, she turned to him. "Show me your hunting crouch!" she told him.

Bramblepaw wasn't sleepy anymore so he did what he was told and went into a hunters crouch.

"Good. Pounce on the stone." she meowed.

Bramblepaw followed her instructions and pounced on the rock.

"Good, now stalk the butterfly!" she ordered.

He got in a hunting position and started stalking the butterfly.

"Good job." she praised him. "Now for real prey. Catch a mouse or a bird. Maybe even both."

"Ok" he said cheerfully.

"Well, go on!" Gracestep meowed.

Bramblepaw sniffed the air for a scent and found a mouse scuffling among the grass.

He quickly and quietly got into a hunters position and started going to the mouse.

When he was inches away he pounced....
